Outback Steakhouse is bringing back its Steak & Lobster deal that starts at $19.99 due to popular demand. This special offer includes a 6-ounce center-cut sirloin paired with a delicious lobster tail, along with two side dishes. This deal will be available for a limited time.

In addition to the Steak & Lobster deal, Outback is now offering new items on its menu. The new Sweet Sriracha Chicken Bites are crispy, hand-breaded chicken bites with a sweet sriracha sauce drizzle. They are served with a house-made ranch dressing and more sweet sriracha sauce for dipping.

A Bloomin’ Success Story

At first glance, you may think that Outback Steakhouse is a franchise that originated from the Land Down Under. With its Australian-themed decor, aesthetic, and menu, it’s hard not to make that assumption. But you may be surprised to know that this popular restaurant chain actually originated in the United States. Back in 1988, four friends with backgrounds in the food industry wanted to create a casual dining experience with a theme that represented adventure, warmth, and a sense of community – values they wanted to embody in their restaurant. As we all know today, they succeeded in achieving their vision.

With that concept, they opened the first Outback Steakhouse on March 7, 1988 in Tampa, Florida. Since then, they’ve quickly gained popularity for their juicy steaks, the Bloomin’ Onion appetizer, and their excellent service. Thanks to their success, they managed to have rapid expansions, and today, there are over 1,000 Outback Steakhouse locations worldwide that serves Australian-inspired cuisine with an American twist.

Viral Moments

Outback Steakhouse may be more famous for their delicious food and enticing promos, but they had one notable viral moment back in 2017. The restaurant chain had playful banter with Bloomin’ Brands, its parent company, on Twitter. This brand also owns Bonefish Grill, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse. This interaction caught the attention of users all over social media that resulted in some of the best memes and showcased the brand’s fun personality.
