Burger King gives away free food every day this week. Grab yours until September 22!
Burger King has a long history of giving away freebies, and for good reasons. It could be to appreciate fans, celebrate special occasions, or build trust with new customers. This week, the brand is celebrating the highly anticipated National Cheeseburger Day, and they want you to join the fun too! Burger King brings back the Perks Week, giving you the chance to enjoy a week of freebies.
Burger King’s Perks Week is back for another run, from September 16, 2024 to September 22, 2024. Here’s what the fast food restaurant has given away so far:
- September 16 – Customers with a purchase amounting to $1 or more received a free Whopper Jr.
- September 17 – Customers with a minimum purchase of $1 got a free Original Chicken Sandwich.
For the rest of the week, here are the other freebies you don’t want to miss:
- September 18 (National Cheeseburger Day!) – Get a free Cheeseburger with a purchase amount of $1 or more
- September 19 – Receive four pieces of Mozzarella Sticks with a minimum purchase of $1
- September 20 – Snag a free Croissan’wich with a minimum purchase of $1 (available only during breakfast hours)
- September 21 – Get four pieces of Chicken Fries with a purchase amount of $1 or more
- September 22 – Enjoy a free soft drink at any size with a purchase amount of $1 or more
The variety of deals and freebies can only be redeemed by Royal Perks members. To redeem, simply log into your Burger King account and head to the “Offers” section of the restaurant’s website or mobile app. The Perks Week returned just in time for the National Cheeseburger Day, but Burger King isn’t the only brand celebrating the event. Other brands like Applebee’s also have exciting deals based on the latest food news. On September 18, Applebee’s is offering Classic Handcrafted Burgers plus Classic Fries for $8.99 only.
How Does Burger King’s Royal Perks Program Works?
If you’re an avid fan of Burger King, don’t you think it’s only right that you get rewards for dropping by the restaurant every once in a while? That’s exactly how their loyalty program Royal Perks works! The idea is for you to earn points, also called “Crowns,” for every dollar spent. This way, you can redeem menu items and enjoy other benefits.
To join Royal Perks is simple: sign up by visiting bk.com or downloading the Burger King app. Either way, just click “Sign Up” when you get in. Upon successful registration, you will start earning 10 Crowns for every $1 spent on qualified transactions. To give you an idea, here are some items you can redeem once you have reached a certain number of Crowns:
- 250 Crowns – Cheeseburger, Sausage Biscuit, or Burrito Jr.
- 400 Crowns – Double Cheeseburger, Small Onion Rings, or Hershey’s Sundae Pie
- 550 Crowns – Egg & Cheese Croissan’wich, Large French Fries, or Large Vanilla Iced Coffee
- 750 Crowns – Whopper, 8-pc Mozzarella Fries, or Chocolate Shake
- 1,000 Crowns – Fully Loaded Croissan’wich, Egg-Normous Burrito, or Royal Crispy Chicken
- 1,400+ Crowns – Double Whopper, Double Whopper with Cheese, or Bacon King
Other benefits upon joining Royal Perks include access to exclusive offers via the Burger King app and opportunities to earn extra Crowns by participating in challenges. You can also earn 2x Crowns during your entire birthday month.
The Whopper Chef is an example of a challenge that you can join to earn bonus Crowns. Royal Perks members can play this game that focuses on Whopper-building skills. Players just need to add the correct toppings to each flame-grilled Whopper as orders come in. The challenge runs until September 22, 2024 and winners could earn up to 750 Crowns. You could treat yourself to a real Whopper if you win. Cool, right?

What’s Coming Soon to Burger King Near You
Burger King never fails to offer “foodfillment” to its guests each time it brings back deals or introduce new offerings. The restaurant once again caused excitement among fans when it announced seasonal and upcoming items. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Addams Family Menu
Are you familiar with the fictional Addams family? If yes, then get ready for the iconic collaboration between these spooky characters and Burger King! Rumor has it that there’s going to be a new Halloween menu lineup launching on October 10, 2024 based on the said collab. You can expect four new items, including the Wednesday Whopper. We just know that this item is going to stand out visually because of its purple bun! You can also order the Gomez’s Churro Fries, made with pastry dough pieces with cinnamon sugar. It’s a warm sweet treat served with a chocolate sauce.
Meanwhile, Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake sounds like a delightful dessert. This will be a soft serve combined with brownie bites. Chocolate cake batter fudge and colorful sprinkles will also be added to the sweet mix. The last item is Things’ Rings & Other Things. It’s the crispy onion rings you know and love at Burger King, but placed in a limited-edition carton.
Flame-Grilled Sandwiches and Wraps
In June 2024, Burger King also tested new items to introduce more variety to its menu. Part of the items tested were flame-grilled sandwiches in Classic, Bacon and Swiss, and Fiery varieties. What you’re going to love about these sandwiches is, well, the flame-grilled chicken breast. It’s always a good option if you want a healthier source of protein! As for the wraps, Burger King is set to bring you new flavors like Fiery Bacon, Honey Mustard, and Bacon and Cheddar.
Burger King clearly knows how to appeal to unique flavor preferences, and it shows in the new variants of their chicken sandwiches and wraps. Let’s hope that the test items get positive feedback so we can see a nationwide rollout soon!

I love seeing burger deals to relish and I’m amazed at the Perks Week promo from Burger King. Even after the National Cheeseburger Day, this brand found a way to treat its guest to great food. If the Perks Week will keep coming back, I might just end up joining the Royal Perks program!
