Plan around the schedule. It runs Monday through Saturday from 11 AM to 8 PM and closes on Sundays, plus it shuts down for the colder season.

2. Stewart’s of Tuckerton, Tuckerton, NJ

Call it one of the last survivors. Sitting right off Main Street at 347 in Matawan, this drive-up carries plenty of the old favorites while wearing a modern renovation that keeps it looking sharp.
Car side service is still part of the deal, so you can grab a burger or hot dog without leaving the driver’s seat. Hot dogs here have a reputation for being consistent, which counts for a lot at a spot that has been doing this a long time.
The menu is broader than the classic drive-in shorthand suggests. Alongside burgers you will find cheesesteaks, sausages, and a rotating cast of fries including curly, crinkle, and tots, plus chili cheese fries.
Vegans are covered with a full vegan menu and vegan burgers, which is unusual for a spot rooted in nineteen-twenties tradition. And of course the root beer and floats are the reason the name is on the sign.

Serving drive-in fare since 1951, Weber’s in Pennsauken keeps the details that made these places fun in the first place. Clip-on window trays hook right onto your car door, and paper checks get tucked under your windshield wiper.
You will find it at 6019 Lexington Ave. The homemade root beer is the signature draw, and the milkshakes have earned a loyal following of their own.
The food menu stays deliberately short and classic. Hot dogs, cheeseburgers, french fries, and sweet potato fries cover the essentials, with both fry options prepared vegan.
There is no table service, but outdoor seating and drive-through options give you a few ways to enjoy it. Restrooms are on site, and dogs are welcome outside.
Hours are simple and consistent: every day from 11 AM to 7 PM. Saturday afternoons get busy, so weekday mornings are the calm stretch if you want your tray hung without a wait.
