The Texas Roadhouse Brand
Texas Roadhouse was founded back in 1993 by Kent Taylor, and since then, they’ve been serving fresh and authentic food made by hand. Steaks, which became an important part of the Texas Roadhouse brand, were made to be hand-cut ribs that would fall off the bone. Their sides are made from scratch, and their bread is baked fresh daily, so you wouldn’t have those random “did you bake this bread last week” moments. No shortcuts were made since they like keeping their food fresh and high quality.
As for its name, Taylor was inspired by the traditional roadhouses that he passed by on rural roads of the Lone Star State. They were usually family restaurants where all the smokey food scent, chatter, and laughter happened as he noticed that they were as huge as the state of Texas. People, regardless of age, drop by these roadhouses for a hearty meal at an affordable price. Like us, these people reward themselves after a long day at work.
That’s how Taylor envisioned Texas Roadhouse to be. 23 years and and around 500 restaurants later, their food still boasts to be the same as it was in the past.
