We’ve known Crumbl to test new dessert items before releasing them nationwide on their weekly lineups. This ensures that only the best treats make their way for a much wider release to fans who are eagerly waiting.
Well, now, stay on the hunt at your nearby Crumbl stores, as they are about to drop the following dessert treats at select locations nationwide:
- Molten Lava Cakes – A well-loved restaurant dessert in Crumbl’s version! It features a rich, moist chocolate cake texture with melted molten chocolate sprinkled with powdered sugar and French vanilla mousse. This treat is a chocolate heaven made for chocolate lovers!
- Dirt Cake Cup – Inspired by the Dirt Cake Cookies, it is a substitute for the Molten Lava Cakes, this sweet treat features layers of chocolate mousse, crunchy cookies, and cream streusel with semi-sweet chocolate ganache and gummy worm.
- Pumpkin Cake LTO – Halloween is coming early with this pumpkin pie inspired treat right here. It features two layers of mini pumpkin cake and vanilla bean cream cheese frosting with crumbled cake pieces.
There is no definite date for the release of the following desserts, but you can check out Crumbl’s official app under “Test Cookies” and see what treats are baking near you.
Let’s Talk About Lava Cakes
No matter how full you are, there’s nothing better than ordering a cravings lava cake for dessert. Its moist and fudgy bread complements well with a mousse or vanilla ice cream that makes up the experience. It’s no wonder why guests love this dessert.
The history surrounding this dessert dish is complicated, as Chef Georges Vongerichten claims that he invented it at his New York restaurant back in 1980, while Chef Jacques Torres argues that it existed in France way before he served it to his guests.
Crumbl seemed to pick up this classic dessert and tried to create their own by choosing mousse as their top garnish. Although different, their Dirt Cake Cup can also be a substitute for the Molten Lava Cake! Check out these other restaurants/brands that serve lava cakes as well.
- Domino’s Chocolate Lava Cake – Baked in Domino’s pizza oven, their lava cakes give off a slightly crunchy oreos and chocolatey crust. Inside, the moist crust is filled with warm melted chocolate taste that would melt even more in your mouth and heal your sweet tooth.
- Chili’s Molten Chocolate Cake – Features a Dutch chocolate cake filled with hot fudge chocolate center and is topped with vanilla ice cream in a chocolate shell. This sweet treat is served with a warm chocolate sauce.
- Hostess’ Meltamors – An on-the-go snack that features two flavors: Chocolate Creamy Caramel and Double Chocolate. You can also choose to put them in a microwave for the chocolate center to melt and cocoa powder.

Since we’re on the news of new Crumbl releases, let’s take a look at this week’s flavor lineup available at Crumbl stores:
- Peanut Butter Cup – A classic peanut butter cookie recipe topped with peanut butter chips and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
- Berry Trifle Cake Cup – New cake flavor that features layers of vanilla cake, vanilla pudding, and housemade berry jam.
- Sugar Shark – A vanilla sugar cookie dough like with blue vanilla frosting topped with gummy sharks candies.
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk – These chocolate cookies are made up of semi-sweet chocolate chip chunks and a sprinkle of sea salt.
- Snickerdoodle Cupcake – Features a warm cinnamon brown sugar cookie topped with cream cheese frosting and cinnamon sugar.
- Confetti – A vanilla sugar cookie filled with cotton candy colored rainbow sprinkles.

Crumbl x Kylie Cosmetics
From Olivia Rodrigo to Kylie Jenner, Crumbl pulls the biggest celebrities for a collaboration. Crumbl cookie fan Kylie Jenner is collaborating with Crumbl for her Kylie Cosmetics brand, and they are teaming up for a cosmetics-themed box of treats this summer in line with her new product launch of Skin Tint Blurring Elixir.
The collaboration is filled with exciting events and prizes! Crumbl and Kylie Cosmetics will host a giveaway where participants can win exclusive Kylie Cosmetics merchandise and $100 gift cards from both brands.
Another event will take place on July 24, 2024, at Crumbl’s West Hollywood location, where the first 100 visitors will receive a Skin Tint Blurring Elixir and a 6-pack Crumbl x Kylie Cosmetics-themed cookies.
On the same day in New York, Kylie Cosmetics will host an event where the first 300 visitors will receive a Skin Tint Blurring Elixir and a Crumbl x Kylie Cosmetics Pink Sugar mini cookie.

Lava Cakes are my favorite dessert, especially after eating a full meal! Good thing, Crumbl is testing out a Molten Lava Cake but I do hope they set it for a nationwide release. I’m also eyeing the Dirt Cake Cup because I prefer chocolate cakes’ recipe be those moist and rich. Honestly, I’m not a fan of pumpkin on bread but I guess the vanilla bean cream cheese frosting will make up for it. Well, here’s to hoping that they hit a nationwide release.
