Bonchon, the global leader of the Korean fried chicken scene, debuts the new Korean Chicken Sandwich just in time for National Fried Chicken Day on July 6! This is a Korean-style twist on the classic chicken sandwich we all love, featuring flavorful sauces.
The new Korean Chicken Sandwich features chicken breast that is double-fried and hand-brushed with your choice of sauce. The sauces make the sandwich special, as you get to choose from their three signature sauces: Soy Garlic, Spicy, and Korean BBQ. It is then served in a warm brioche bun with coleslaw and a side of fries.
Jae Park, the chef of Bonchon, said that they wanted their sandwich to have a Korean edge to it as guests have long requested the menu. Other locations of Bonchon worldwide have a Korean Chicken Sandwich option, while it has just debuted in the USA.
If you’re one of the guests who requested a chicken sandwich on the menu, you’re in luck, as the Korean fried chicken chain has decided to make it a permanent part of their menu! The snack, launching on July 6, will be available for dine-in, pick-up, and delivery at participating restaurants.

The Korean Fried Chicken Adventure
Jinduk Seh, founder of Bonchon, has one thing in mind: share his favorite comfort food with the world. It all made sense with Bonchon’s brand name, which translates to “my hometown, my roots.”
Opening his first store in Busan, South Korea, Seh dedicated his time to mastering the art of frying chicken by achieving a thin, crispy outside and juicy meat inside. He also developed special sauces for his chicken glazes, which we know as Soy Garlic and Spicy — two of their offered sauces.
Soon enough, Bonchon expanded globally by opening its first overseas store in Fort Lee, New Jersey, USA.

Aside from chicken, Bonchon also offers traditional Korean dishes for you to try! We have compiled some of their flavorful menu options that would surely suit your tastebuds.
Bulgogi
If you love Bonchon’s chicken, you’ll surely love their Bulgogi too! This rice meal features thinly sliced USDA marinated beef, mushrooms, scallions, sesame seeds, and onions. The pop of flavors would surely make your meal enjoyable.
Tteokbokki
Bonchon has also been successful in sharing this next dish with the world. The Tteokbokki, or spicy rice cake, is a famous Korean street food. It features rice cakes that are simmered in a spicy broth sauce with fish cakes, scallions, and onions. The dish is topped with mozzarella cheese and vegetable potstickers.
Japchae
The sweet and salty Japchae dish features glass noodles, red pepper, carrots, onions, spinach, mushrooms, and bulgogi, which are all stir-fried in Soy Garlic and sesame oil to give off a sweet taste. The dish is topped with sesame seeds, a key ingredient in Korean cuisine.
Bibimbap
If you love watching Korean dramas, you may have heard about the Bibimbap bowl, which consists of stir-fried veggies in a spicy paste. Here at Bonchon, the dish features rice with scrambled eggs, lettuce, carrots, onions, spinach, and mushrooms. You have the option to top the Bibimbap with Bulgogi, Chicken (Soy Garlic or Spicy), or Plain Tofu.

Bonchon’s Korean fried chicken is one of my comfort foods! Whenever I feel lonely or tired, I munch on Soy Garlic Wings while watching Korean dramas or the contents of my favorite KPOP (Korean Pop) boy group, TREASURE. I’m glad they will release the Korean Chicken Sandwich in July. I can just imagine the soy garlic chicken stuffed in a coleslaw and brioche bun. That’s the combination I’m talking about! I may have to set aside my Soy Garlic Wings for now, as it looks like I’ll have a new comfort food now.
