Get ready for one of the most exciting collaborations of the year! Krispy Kreme is teaming up with Barbie for a legendary celebration.
For years, Krispy Kreme has been giving us tons of amazing doughnuts that are results from collaborations with other brands. Recently, we’ve seen them collaborate with Kit Kat for the acclaimed Kit Kat Collection and they’ve even teamed up with renowned singer, Dolly Parton, for another set of doughnuts inspired by her brand. But this time, they’re teaming up with one of the biggest, most impactful toys of the 20th century: Barbie.
Ever since it was first introduced in 1959, Barbie has become a global phenomenon. The brand has grown into a massive franchise that has everything from toys, books, movies, TV shows, video games, and even food. With their 65th anniversary coming up, Krispy Kreme has been rumored to team up with Barbie and celebrate the impact of the iconic doll. There are four unique donuts and each of them are inspired by Barbie’s legacy. Let’s take a look at each of them:
- Barbie Pink Doughnut – Here’s something that’s perfect for anyone looking for a sweet treat that matches Barbie’s hot pink aesthetic. The Barbie Pink Doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut topped with pink frosting, pink sugar decorations, and a Barbie plaque. It’s sweet, it’s delicious, and, best of all, it’s pink!
- Barbie Sweet 65th – Here’s something a little more in line with the celebrations. The Barbie Sweet 65th is a new donut that really captures the celebration aspect of this collection. It’s an Original Glazed donut dipped in chocolate icing and sprinkled with Barbie-themed sprinkles.
- Barbie Berries n’ Kreme – If you want something that looks really sleek and delicious at the same time, try this new Barbie donut. It’s a donut filled with strawberry Kreme, topped with purple and pink frosting, and is adorned with a Barbie heart chocolate.
- Malibu Dream Party – Bring on the party with this amazing new donut from Krispy Kreme and Barbie. The Malibu Dream Party Donut is a cookie butter-filled donut rolled in cookie crumbs and gold nibs. The best part of the design is its topped with a Malibu house sugar decoration.
These flavors are expected to drop sometime this week. The new flavors will also be available in six-packs at select grocery stores this week. While we’re still waiting for an official release date, we can confirm that this collaboration is indeed happening. Barbie really is a pillar in popular culture. Apart from the toys, Barbie has made an appearance in tons of other collaborations in fast food. The one thing that they all have in common, is that they’re all delicious and they’re all pink. Here are two recent ones that really captured the essence of Barbie.
BK Barbie Combo – Burger King Brazil
Last year, the first ever live-action Barbie movie was released to critical acclaim. During that time, the Barbie hype was at an all-time high. Everyone was dropping some kind of Barbie merch and one of the best has to be from Burger King Brazil. The BK Barbie Combo features the Pink Burger which is made of BK’s signature flame-grilled patties, a slice of melted cheddar cheese, diced bacon, and a smokey pink sauce, all sandwiched between brioche buns. It also comes with Ken’s Potatoes, which are French fries in a nice-looking container.
All That Glitters is Pink – Cold Stone Creamery
Just like the BK Barbie Combo, this ice cream from Cold Stone came out at the height of Barbie fever last year. All That Glitters is Pink is the perfect dessert that captures the very essence of the iconic character with its sweet dazzling flavors and attention-grabbing looks. The best part is that you can get it in a limited-edition Barbie movie-themed cup. Here’s hoping we could get more fast food items like this in the future.

Barbie is a seminal icon in popular culture. I can’t picture a world without the iconic doll and everything that it stands for. With 65 years under their belt, Barbie is definitely worth celebrating.
