Chick-fil-A is celebrating the start of spring with new flavors that are perfect for warmer days. Starting today (March 17, 2025), an old favorite is making a reappearance on the chain’s menu. Say hello once again to the Smokehouse BBQ Sandwich as they’re making a sweet comeback to menus nationwide with an upgrade of three more options to choose from. But that’s not all, as the new Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages are also making a debut. They will be available at participating locations nationwide.

Taste The New Smokehouse BBQ Sandwich
This spring, Chick-fil-A is back with a smoking new addition to their menu: the Smokehouse BBQ Sandwich. It now features three options that guests can choose from: Original, Spicy, and Classic Grilled Fillet. The juicy chicken from the sandwich is paired with some crispy bacon that is hand-tossed in brown sugar and black pepper blend. Other fillings include some Colby Jack cheese and green leaf lettuce smothered in smokey BBQ sauce. They’re all sandwiched on a toasted bun that is buttery and sweet.
Refreshing Sip of Pineapple Dragonfruit Beverages
Of course, it’s better to pair a burger with a refreshing sip. It’s a good thing that Chick-fil-A has released a new line-up of Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages. It combines the sweetness and juiciness of pineapple fruit with a unique twist of tropical dragonfruit. Check out the four options that you can choose from:
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Frosted Lemonade – This refreshing drink features a combination of Chick-fil-A Lemonade (or Diet Lemonade) plus the chain’s signature Icedream that is mixed with natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavor.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Lemonade – If you’re looking for a much simpler cooler, then this combination will do. It features a mix of the classic Chick-fil-A Lemonade (or Diet Lemonade) plus natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Iced Tea – If you love Chick-fil-A’s classic Iced Tea, then you’re in for an exciting upgrade! The Pineapple Dragonfruit Iced Tea is freshly brewed daily from a blend of tea leaves. It is mixed together with classic Iced Tea with pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Sunjoy – This beverage combines the chain’s Sunjoy (a Chick-fil-A Lemonade and freshly brewed Sweetened Iced Tea with some natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.
Allison Duncan, Director of Menu and Packaging at Chick-fil-A, said their guests are craving flavors in this warm weather that remind them of the days and time spent outside with their loved ones. The chain is excited to bring back the Smokehouse BBQ Sandwich, and along with it comes refreshing beverages that offer a sweet balance to the smokey flavor of the sandwich.

New Test Menu Items of Icedream
Are you eyeing the Pineapple Dragonfruit Frosted Lemonade because of the Icedream? You should look for these two new additions to Icedream at your nearest Chick-fil-A locations. 👀 The chain introduces two ways to enjoy your favorite Icedream dessert through a playful twist.
Introducing the Ice Dream Spin and Ice Dream Float that is currently being tested in participating restaurants in Chicago, Salt Lake City, San Diego, and Tampa, Florida. Check out what each test dessert has to offer:
- Ice Dream Spin – A new spin on everyone’s favorite, this dessert features the chain’s signature Icedream dessert that is hand-spun with your choice of fountain beverage. It gives off a creamy texture that you can only get from an Ice Dream Spin.
- Icedream Float – This particular test item features your choice of fountain beverage that is made special with a swirl of the chain’s signature Icedream dessert.
You can now get each test item for a limited time at the participating locations stated above. You can check out the Chick-fil-A app or contact a restaurant near you to know the availability of this special test item.

Chick-fil-A isn’t the only fast food chain to drop their spring specials. In case you don’t know, Dunkin’ and Starbucks recently dropped their menu items that are worth checking out. Let’s see what we can add to our spring menu list.
Dunkin’
- Dunkalatte – A comeback beverage that features iced or hot ultra-smooth coffee milk with whole milk that is blended with Dunkin’s own coffee extract.
- Pistachio Coffee – A nutty and subtly sweet Pistachio Flavor Swirl combined with Dunkin’s Original Blend Coffee.
- Ham & Swiss Pretzel Sliders – Features a Black Forest ham with honey mustard and Swiss cheese. They’re layered inside a King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Slider Buns.
- Sweet Black Pepper Bacon – A snack of bacon with brown sugar and black pepper seasoning. You can enjoy them in a breakfast sandwich, Wake-Up Wrap, or Snackin’ Bacon.
- Chicken & Bacon Croissant Stuffers – Features a croissant that is stuffed with chicken, bacon, and Colby Jack cheese.
Starbucks
- Iced Cherry Chai – This new drink features black tea that is infused with cinnamon, clove, and other spices combined with milk and ice. There’s a cherry cold foam on top with cherry crunch topping.
- Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha – Features Starbucks’ matcha and oatmilk served over ice. It is topped with a cold foam from lavender cream.
- Iced Lavender Latte – This drink features a base of Blonde Espresso with oatmilk and ice. Expect a sweet and subtle flavor of lavender in every sip.
- Lavender Crème Frappucino Blended Beverage – It blends lavender with vanilla syrup, milk, and ice. For a finishing touch, the drink is topped with whipped cream.
- Jalapeño Chicken Pocket – This pastry features a pocket stuffed with chicken, charred poblanos, green jalapeños, three-chile-pepper-cheese, plus jalapeño cream cheese. They’re all wrapped in a toasted chile lavash flatbread. Starbucks will add a free packet of TRUFF Original or Jalapeño Lime Hot Sauce in every order.

Chick-fil-A is back again with a sweet surprise this spring season! I’m excited to taste the Smokehouse BBQ Sandwich in Classic Grilled Fillet! As for the Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages, I have to admit that I haven’t tasted dragonfruit in my life so the taste of it combined with pineapple is interesting to me. I’ll probably order the Pineapple Dragonfruit Frosted Lemonade. Also, I hope the Icedream treats will hit a nationwide release anytime soon. 😋
