As summer winds down, fall flavors are starting to pop up on restaurant menus.
September officially marks the arrival of the fall season, and with that, Pumpkin Spice and other comforting flavors are also making their way to menu lineups and at specific meal times of the day. Breakfast and afternoon snacks may be the most suitable mealtimes for Autumn, as these perfectly capture the season’s coziness and comforting ambiance. And the fast food authority for breakfast meals, IHOP, is getting into the action.
On Sunday, September 1, IHOP will introduce its seasonal pumpkin spice offerings at participating IHOP locations across the country. But before we dive into the specifics, here’s a quick fun fact: Since 2008, IHOP has sold over 1 million pumpkin pancakes each year. Almost half of IHOP’s guests enjoy and love the pumpkin spice flavor.
With Americans spending more than $500 million annually on pumpkin spice products, IHOP’s three new pumpkin-flavored items are sure to satisfy any craving:
- September Pancake of the Month: We’ll soon welcome the Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake. Four pumpkin spice pancakes topped with maple glaze, cheesecake mousse, and whipped topping. You can also get this as a combo with two pancakes, two bacon strips or two pork sausage links, two eggs cooked your way, and hash browns.
- Pumpkin Spice Pancakes (Full + Short Stack): Pumpkin spice pancakes made with real pumpkin and seasonal spices, topped with creamy whipped topping. This can also be ordered as a combo with two bacon strips or two pork sausage links, two eggs cooked your way, and hash browns.
- Pumpkin Spice Cold Foam Cold Brew: This drink features 100% Arabica iced cold brew, sweetened with vanilla and topped with pumpkin spice creamy cold foam.

We’re now enjoying the warm days of summer and will soon greet the fall season. But before we savor IHOP’s fall-flavored Pancake, let’s take a short trip back to the previous months and see how the brand introduced its different pancakes of the month.

- Lemon Oreo Pancakes (August): First off the bat, let’s welcome this month’s Pancake, the Lemon Oreo Pancake. It features a vanilla ice cream topper along with lemonade and Lemon Oreo pieces. It is finished off with a generous swirl of whipped cream with even more Lemon Oreo bits and pieces.
- Fresh Red, White & Blueberry Pancakes (July): In celebration of the Fourth of July Independence Day, IHOP released their Fresh Red, White & Blueberry Pancakes back in July. It includes four (4) buttermilk pancakes topped with fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, and whipped cream as topping.
- Orange Cream Pancakes (June): Last June, IHOP announced their Pancake of the Month: Orange Cream Pancakes. It is made of buttermilk pancakes topped with vanilla mousse, orange sauce, and whipped topping.
- White Chocolate Raspberry Pancakes (May): Last May, we got the new White Chocolate Raspberry Pancakes. These featured buttermilk pancakes that had white chocolate chips mixed in, plus it was topped off with raspberry toppings, cream cheese icing, and whipped cream.
- Cinnamon Apple Pecan (April): April’s special pancake was Cinnamon Apple Pecan. It featured four fluffy pancakes made with buttermilk, topped with cinnamon-spiced apples, sweet dulce de leche sauce, crunchy pecans, and a dollop of whipped cream.
- Girl Scout Thin Mints Pancakes (March): Last March, we were greeted with the Girl Scout Thin Mints Pancakes. These special pancakes come with four green buttermilk pancakes topped with creamy cheesecake mousse, pieces of Girl Scout Thin Mints, and whipped cream.
IHOP has been nailing every release of their Pancake of the Month and we hope it won’t disappear from their campaigns soon. Now, we’ve got another Pancake to look forward to: the Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake is coming in September, and I bet it’d make fall so much better!
