Drumstick just came out with a brand new treat. The best part? They’re teaming up with Slurpee!
Drumstick is one of the best ice cream cones you can get when you’re in a rush. It’s a great treat to have when you’re just on the go and need a quick fix to curb your sweet tooth. Slurpees, on the other hand, are also a great frozen beverage if you want a slushie but don’t have the time to go to a fast food joint. So what do you get when you put them both together? You get one of the low-key best collaborations of the year!

Drumstick just announced that they’re releasing a new flavor with Slurpee for their signature ice cream cones: the Blue Raspberry Drumstick. This new dessert combines rich, creamy vanilla ice cream with swirls of blue raspberry sauce and topped off with a sprinkle of crunchy candy bits. It’s a unique take and definitely a collaboration we never knew we needed.
You can find the Blue Raspberry Drumstick exclusively at 7-Eleven, Stripes, and Speedway stores nationwide.
A Sweet History of Collaboration
Did you know that the Drumstick ice cream cone has been around for over 90 years? They may seem like a pretty recent creation but the truth is, they began in 1928. The crazy part is, they weren’t even invented on purpose. Back then, the Parker Brothers accidentally coated vanilla ice cream with chocolate and nuts when they couldn’t cleanly remove it from its equipment. From there, the Drumstick was born. Since then, they’ve been pretty popular and actually set the stage for similar ice cream to be prepared the same way.

And then you have the Slurpee. It feels like 7-Eleven’s iconic carbonated slushie has always been around. Well that’s cause for most of us, it really has. The Slurpee was first introduced in the 1960s and just like the Drumstick, it was also created by accident. It was invented by Omar Knedlik who accidentally froze his soda thanks to a malfunctioning ice machine. This led to the invention of the now famous Slurpees.

Drumsticks and Slurpees have been around for a long time and it’s honestly so surprising that they haven’t made a collaboration until today. It’s actually quite fitting; two products created out of seemingly unfortunate situations turned into one of the biggest desserts in the world.

From The Club
This new collaboration is truly something new. It’s something I didn’t really expect but I’m very much excited for it! I’m a fan of Drumsticks and I always have some stock for whenever I just want to enjoy an ice cream cone. I’m not too big on Slurpees but their fruity flavors are pretty interesting and would pair well with Drumsticks. Everyone knows that the best part of a Drumstick is the end of the cone. It’s usually filled with something like chocolate so I’m pretty curious how the Blue Raspberry Vanilla Drumstick would be like.
