Don’t miss out on all the hottest new additions from your favorite fast food chains!
We’re nearly halfway through August and we’re still getting a ton of new items from some of the biggest fast food chains around. At this rate, will we even have something to look forward to once fall rolls around? Based on what we’ve come to expect from these brands, we’re definitely getting a whole lot more. While we wait for the actual fall menu releases, we got these fresh new drops in the world of fast food.
Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A is really killing it with all their latest menu releases. This summer, they had a very small seasonal menu but still managed to deliver the goods. Right now, we’re pretty much just waiting on the return of some highly anticipated menu items. On August 26, we’re going to get the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, the Banana Pudding Shake, and the Banana Pudding Frosted Coffee. Still no word about the Banana Pudding dessert so far. But if they have this much Banana Pudding flavored stuff coming out, surely the dessert version is about to drop soon, right? Well, it’s wishful thinking but I bet it’s still on the way.
Taco Bell
When it comes to Mexican fast food, no one can really top Taco Bell. So it’s no surprise that whenever they release something new, we all go crazy for it. Remember the Big Cheez-it Crunchwrap? Well, right now Taco Bell recently released two new limited-time items: Cheesy Street Chalupas and Jalapeño Ranch Nacho Fries. They were added on their menu last July 18 and it looks like it will remain there through August. They’ve also been testing a lot of secret menu items lately like the Crunchwrap Sliders and the Cheesy Dipping Burritos. I hope their trials go well and we get to see those get a nationwide release soon.
Zaxby’s
Zaxby’s may not have gotten as much coverage as it deserves this summer, but they quietly released some pretty great items. First off, Zaxby’s wnet right at Chick-fil-A and their hesitance to drop their Banana Pudding dessert by dropping their own Banana Pudding at the height of summer. Their Banana Pudding Jar Dessert features layers of stacked banana pudding, vanilla wafers, and whipped cream on top. Then last month, they dropped another new dessert with the Fried Cheesecake Bites with Strawberry Sauce.

International Releases
While the U.S. still remains the center of fast food, the fast food scene in other countries is booming as well. The biggest chains in the world in other countries are also releasing amazing new menu items. Let’s take a look at each of them.
KFC – Australia
Our friends down under are definitely in for a treat thanks to KFC. They’re getting a never before seen dessert called the Fried Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. These are literally deep fried balls made of chocolate chip cookie dough. Man, I sure hope this gets a wider release; this sounds very delicious.
McDonald’s – UK
The Grimace Shake was a sensation when McDonald’s released it in the United States. It even sparked a really weird trend where people would have all sorts of increasingly unsettling scenarios when they drink the Grimace Shake. It’s all played for laughs, of course. But some of them did get pretty disturbing. But anyway, the UK is finally getting to join in the fun with the release of the Grimace Shake across the pond for 1 week only. It’s releasing on August 28.
Subway – Canada
Let’s head on over north of the border and look at what Subway has in store. Subway’s cookies have always been top tier so this new menu item is really primed for success. Subway in Canada dropped an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich last month. It features creamy vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two of Subway’s signature chewy Chocolate Chunk cookies.
Wendy’s – Canada
Back in July, Wendy’s in Canada also released new cold treats that were just in time for summer. They released the Frosty Fizz and the White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty. The Frosty Fizz was essentially a cup of soda mixed with Frosty syrup. The White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty, on the other hand, is a new frosty flavor that really elevates the Strawberry Frosty by adding in white chocolate into the mix.

From The Club
If this is just a glimpse of what’s to come this fall, then I’m definitely very excited. We’re already getting some early releases from certain fast food chains but I’m pretty sure that it will amp up in the coming weeks.
