It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it’s the new Superman Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard! Finally and officially, this super treat has landed on the menus to bring the cool this summer. In-the-know foodies have been informed weeks ago about the release date, and it was only last Monday, May 26, that the Blizzard was officially launched. Here’s a bonus: the new Blizzard isn’t flying solo because other treats have landed, too! It looks like DQ is also bringing the heat and savings with these new offers.
Superman meets cookie dough in Dairy Queen’s bold, new blizzard and fans have been obsessed ever since the information about this treat leaked. Today, we can say for certain what this new dreamy blizzard is made of. As per Dairy Queen, the new menu item features sugar cookie dough, cake batter flavor, and Superman-themed sprinkles blended into the world-famous soft serve. The result is a brightly colored treat that looks scrumptious and reflects Superman’s iconic blue suit.
As mentioned, the Superman Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard isn’t the only item that’s flying to the menus. Also joining the frozen treat is the Buffalo Sauced Tossed Chicken Strip Basket. This features four crispy and seasoned 100% all-white meat chicken strips, sauced and tossed to bring out their spicy and tangy flavors. The basket also includes Texas toast, fries, and a dipping sauce, served with a 21-oz. drink. Additionally, participating locations will be offering a $7 Cheeseburger Meal Deal, served with fries, sundae, and a soft drink. For $2 more, you have the option to upgrade your sundae to a small Blizzard treat.
Dairy Queen’s 2025 Summer Blizzard Menu
Even before the Superman-themed Blizzard came flying to the menus, Dairy Queen already unveiled its summer specials. We’re talking Blizzard treats and dipped cones that evoke pure summertime bliss! The seasonal menu features summer must-haves and cherished favorites. Let’s start with the Blizzard treats:
- Mixing Bowl Mashup Blizzard Treat (NEW) – If you’re looking to mix things up, try this treat made with a mix of brownie batter and chocolate chip cookie dough swirled into the soft serve.
- Dipped Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard Treat (NEW) – Enjoy a decadent summer bite from this Blizzard treat featuring cheesecake pieces, choco chunks, soft serve, and strawberry topping.
- Cotton Candy Blizzard Treat (IT’S BACK!) – This crowd-favorite combines a colorful blend of candy sprinkles with DQ’s world-famous soft serve.
- Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat (IT’S BACK!) – This Blizzard treat made a grand return, just in time for the brand’s 85th anniversary. It is indeed a birthday-worthy treat made with confetti cake pieces, confetti frosting, and vanilla soft serve.
- S’mores Blizzard Treat (FAN VOTE!) – This option is also back by popular demand and we understand why. It takes the iconic summer campfire treat to the next level by blending soft serve with marshmallow-filled DQ chocolate bars and graham crackers!
Apart from these refreshing Blizzard treats, the brand is also offering dipped cones in various indulgent flavors, like Confetti Cake, Cherry, and Butterscotch (availability may vary by location). Dairy Queen Menu Hack Secret: Butterbeer Blizzard
Calling all Harry Potter fans! For a magical treat this summer, we’re whispering a secret: you can hack the DQ menu and order a Butterbeer Blizzard, a treat inspired by the popular drink from Harry Potter universe. While not officially on the menu, you can customize your Blizzard with specific ingredients.
To recreate the butterbeer flavor, ask your server for a vanilla soft serve mixed in with butterscotch syrup (sometimes called butterscotch cone dip) or caramel syrup. Other guests would love to combine the two, some choose just one and mix it with vanilla syrup. For a satisfying crunch, ask for Butterfinger pieces to be included and then add whipped cream on top.

More Frozen Treats You Can’t Miss
DQ’s new Superman-themed Blizzard is just the beginning of a summer like no other…because have you seen the unique treats released by other chains? This hand-spun, nostalgic milkshake is made with Chick-fil-A’s signature Icedream and peach puree, topped with whipped cream and a cherry. This milkshake is expected to return to menus on June 9, 2025, so mark your calendars!

I bet we’re all going to have a fun time at Dairy Queen! Just look at everything they have on offer right now. Honestly, between the Superman-themed Blizzard and the summer menu lineup, I’m not sure which one to try first!
