Unbelievably, they are bringing fans in for a treat with the new Roasted Pork Al Pastor menu, which features Mexican food favorites.

Let’s try to unpack the Del Taco x Trejo Taco’s offerings:

  • Al Pastor Street Taco – First up, we have the Mexican street tacos filled with tender marinated pork that is seasoned with traditional seasonings. It’s also got your taco filling usuals of diced onions and chopped cilantro, all smothered with green sauce. Diced pineapple is added as a filling for a hint of sweetness. You can get two Al Pastor Street Tacos for only $4.99.

  • Al Pastor Cheddar Quesadilla – Cheese lovers, rejoice! The Al Pastor is bringing you a cheddar quesadilla with marinated pork mix. And if you think things can’t get even more better, it has a tangy green sauce and diced pineapple addition for a flavor explosion. The contents are folded into a flour tortilla and flat-grilled before serving.

Let’s Talk About Trejo’s Tacos

Now, who is this taco restaurant that Del Taco is teaming up with? In case you don’t know, Trejo’s Tacos was founded by actor Danny Trejo in 2016. They’ve been serving Mexican food such as tacos, burritos, and quesadillas at four of their restaurant locations in Los Angeles.

The community has been the core of Trejo’s Tacos, and knowing that Los Angeles has a vibrant Mexican food scene, they didn’t want to compete, so they just looked for their own style. What they did was they took authentic traditional ingredients and brought influences from other cuisines. Trejo’s Tacos has been experimenting with flavors and it’s visible from their menu offerings, such as Spicy Shrimp Taco, Young Jackfruit Taco, and Mushroom Asada Taco.

Experimentation has brought Trejo’s Tacos to Del Taco’s door. This collaboration with Del Taco is expanding their reach even to Del Taco guests who would surely love their food. This is a genius move played by Trejo’s Tacos, which currently has four restaurants only. The Roasted Pork Al Pastor menu has been released nationwide, and more people can now head over to Trejo’s restaurant to try the Mexican food they offer.
