Something hot is coming to Taco Bell. It’s also savory, smokey, and steeped in history.
How do you spice up your usual fast food orders? Two words: hot sauce. With its ability to add a depth of flavor to various dishes, a hot sauce is not just common in Mexican restaurants. It’s also popular in the U.S., particularly Southern states where there’s an abundance of chili peppers. That’s why it makes sense for the Tex-Mex fast food giant Taco Bell to release a new hot sauce packet plus a discovery box to enjoy it.
Taco Bell drops today the all-new Disha Hot Hot Sauce Packets and the Disha Hot Discovery Box. These items are part of the collaboration between Taco Bell and Mexican-American musician Omar Apollo. The Disha Hot Hot Sauce celebrates the musician’s family heritage and captures the flavors of the original sauce recipe from Omar’s mother. By combining peppers, onions, roasted tomatillos, lime juice, tomatoes, and white vinegar, the process of creating the new Disha Hot Hot Sauce starts. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without Omar’s family-secret spice blend.
The new sauce will be available today, September 24, but only for the members of Taco Bell Rewards. It will be rolled out nationwide on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Each packet costs 20 cents and can be enjoyed with your favorite menu items from Taco Bell.
Additionally, Taco Bell introduces its Disha Hot Discovery Box in celebration of the new sauce packet. Besides the three Disha Hot Hot Sauce packets, customers will get a Crunchy Taco, a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, and a Doritos Locos Taco. Nacho cheese sauce, chips, and a medium-sized fountain drink are also included, all for a price of $8.99.
In related food news, a new pimento cheese dip was also spotted in Chick-fil-A locations. This release was prompted by the successful launch of the brand’s Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich.
What Else Can You Get from Taco Bell x Omar Apollo Collab?
Are you a member of the Taco Bell Rewards? If yes, then more exciting items await you. The launch of the Disha Hot Hot Sauce packet also honors Omar Apollo’s musical style, that’s why a special Taco Bell x Disha Hot Kit will also be up for grabs today. The kit features a vinyl insert signed by Omar, three packets of Disha Hot Hot sauce, and a unique bottle of Disha Hot Sauce. Rewards members can claim it through the Taco Bell app, available only for the first 500.

McDonald’s also came up with an interactive idea to enjoy its new sauce by having its lid design feature eight fan-favorite characters from Jujutsu Kaisen.
KFC’s Comeback Sauce
When KFC tested its new KFC Tenders in the West Palm Beach and surrounding areas, they came with a Comeback sauce that had zesty and peppery taste. The new condiment was meant to be paired with the juicy chicken, as some fans claimed. What’s different about the new tenders is that they carry Colonel Sander’s Original Recipe of 11 secret herbs and spices. This recipe was previously used for on-the-bone chicken products and nuggets only. So with a new finger-lickin’ good item, what’s stopping you to surrender to the tender?
Buffalo Wild Wings’ Golden Fire Sauce
Things just got wilder over at Buffalo Wild Wings with the release of Golden Fire sauce. According to the brand, it’s the perfect blend of fiery chiles and sweet, tangy Carolina Gold. According to some fans, the heat from the sauce really creeps up on you. The sauce is only available for a limited-time via takeout and delivery orders. Take the heat either with the traditional or boneless wings.
Besides Golden Fire, Buffalo Wild Wings has another new sauce, the Buffalo Bacon Sauce. And yes, you guessed it. It has hints of smokey bacon. What you missed though is the Luau BBQ sauce! This was released last summer and brought tropical vibes from its pineapple BBQ flavors.
