 Create your Oreo-flavored cookie dough by adding the melted butter, egg, and crushed Oreo cookie crumbs to the bowl with one cup of cake mix. Beat on high for one minute, then chill until firm.

Form the chilled dough into six balls of equal size. Roll the cookie balls in crushed Oreo cookie crumbs, then place them on a parchment-paper-lined baking tray.

Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray, then press ¼ cup of the lava crunch cake dough into the bottom of each muffin cup, creating a well in the center. 

Spoon a heaping tablespoon of hot fudge topping into the well. To take your cake to the next level, add crushed Oreo cookie crumbs to the fudge!

Cover the hot fudge with more lava crunch cake dough, sealing the edges tightly. Bake at 375℉ for 14-16 minutes, until slightly crispy. 

Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then gently loosen the cakes from the muffin cups with a knife. Serve while warm, topping with fresh fruit, mint, powdered sugar, or crushed Oreo cookie crumbs.

  • 1 tablespoons Hershey's Special Dark cocoa powder
