This summer, Duck Donuts is bringing back the popular and fan-favorite Shark Dozen donuts for one week only from July 7 to 14, 2024. Guests can sink their teeth into the soft and sweet treats, which feature nine new donut flavors:
- Shark Attack: Frosted with blue vanilla icing and topped with graham cracker crumbs, marshmallow drizzle, and gummy shark.
- Shark Bite: Dipped in maple icing and topped with chopped bacon and raspberry drizzle.
- Riptide Cinnamon Bun: Cinnamon sugar-coated donuts with a drizzle of blue vanilla.
- The Sandbar: Glazed donut with crumbs of graham crackers.
- Overboard: Vanilla icing-coated donut finished off with raspberry drizzle on top.
- High Tide: Vanilla icing-coated donut with powdered sugar.
- The Beach: Vanilla icing-coated donut with cinnamon sugar.
- Lemon Sunshine: Glazed donut coated in lemon icing.
- Chocolate Confetti: Chocolate-coated donut with rainbow sprinkles and chocolate drizzle.
- Beach Ball: Vanilla icing-coated donut with rainbow sprinkles and chocolate drizzle.
The Shark Dozen is available at all Duck Donut stores nationwide and online. Hurry and catch them before they swim away!

Buying the Shark Dozen will not only satisfy your cravings, but it will also support the Duck Surf Rescue, a USLA-advanced lifeguard agency and member of the Outer Banks, which advocates for beach safety.
Betsy Hamm, Duck Donuts’ CEO, said that they wanted their partnership with Duck Surf Rescue to raise awareness about beach safety, which would help their guests to stay informed while enjoying their sweet treats and creating unforgettable summer memories to cherish.
With this, Duck Donuts is encouraging their guests and the general public to follow the brand on both Instagram and TikTok to get some safety vacation tips, such as how to prevent getting caught in a riptide.

Can’t get enough of the Cookie Dough craze? Here’s another sweet treat to try. The Cookie Dough Milkshake features a creamy vanilla ice cream base mixed with cookie dough crumbs and whipped cream on top drizzled with chocolate and even more dough. They also have Cookie Dough Donuts in dozen and half dozen sizes. The cookie-filled donuts included are Vanilla Cookie Caramel Swirl, Strawberry Sugar, Chocolate Cookie Dough, Chocolate Cookie Vanilla Swirl, Glazed Cookie Dough, and Cookie Crumble. Both the milkshake and donuts are still available up until July 28, 2024.
Patriotic
For Duck Donuts’ 4th of July-themed lineup, they celebrated with milkshakes and pastries colored in blue and red to show patriotism. The Patriotic Milkshake is made with creamy vanilla ice cream mixed with blue and red sprinkles. It is topped with whipped cream and even more sprinkles that would give you just enough sugar rush. They also have the Patriotic Donuts, which come in a dozen and a half dozen sizes. The donuts include your usual Duck Donuts favorites, such as Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, and Glazed Sparkers smothered in red and blue sprinkles. Both the milkshake and donuts are still available up until August 11, 2024.

I like how Duck Donuts incorporates vacation safety in their summer line of Shark Dozen. It seems to me that the push for their advocacy is genuine, and it makes me want to buy a dozen for the cause. I’m excited to try the Shark Bite donut because I’m curious how the bacon would mix on the raspberry drizzle, and I always wanted to try bacon as a dessert. I hope Duck Donuts will make the Shark donut selection a permanent part of their menu.
