Have you heard about Einstein Bros Bagels‘ new breakfast snack? They’ve just released the Maplehouse Egg Sandwich – their first brand-new menu item since 2021. It’s priced from $6.99 and can be enjoyed through summer, this sandwich has a mix of sweet and savory flavors.
Just imagine a bagel that tastes like French toast, with eggs, sausage, and crispy bacon and they also added cheddar cheese, honey almond cream cheese, with a little syrup drizzle on top. Sounds delicious, right?
The food creators at Einstein Bros Bagels worked really hard on this new menu item. Chad Thompson, who comes up with new recipes for the company, said they really wanted to make a breakfast that was the best of both sweet and salty. This isn’t their first rodeo, though. Remember the Texas Brisket Egg Sandwich with chipotle sauce on a jalapeño-bacon bagel? That was their last big hit in 2021.

From Humble Beginnings to Breakfast Favorites
Einstein Bros Bagels has a rich history that started with a straightforward goal: to serve fresh, tasty bagels in a friendly atmosphere. The first store opened in Colorado in 1995—and from that point on, Einstein Bros became a household name for bagel lovers across the United States. Founded on the tradition of classic bagel baking, this brand has grown to offer a wide variety of unique flavors and fillings, catering to the early birds looking for that perfect breakfast to kickstart their day.
Creating Waves with New Breakfast Sensations
In recent times, Einstein Bros Bagels has made headlines with their new creations, especially the Maplehouse Egg Sandwich that’s been making buzz for its innovative blend of flavors. For instance, you might find news about their latest offerings on major food blogs and websites, which often share information about pricing and seasonal specials.
A quick search online would provide you with articles and press releases detailing their unique menu items, like the memorable Texas Brisket Egg Sandwich from 2021 that mixed tender brisket with a spicy chipotle sauce on a jalapeño-bacon bagel. Fans of the brand are always eager to see what’s next, as each addition seems to be a delightful surprise.
Balancing Flavors for Modern Taste
Let’s dive deeper into Einstein Bros Bagels’ world, focusing on their latest creation: the Maplehouse Egg Sandwich. Chad Thompson, the culinary mastermind behind the brand, understands the ongoing demand for foods that perfectly balance sweet and savory elements. He and his team strive to innovate within this popular food trend, adding excitement to their menu with every new item.
If we explore this trend further, it’s clear that this isn’t the only case. Variations of sweet and savory have been part of the culinary scene for years. For example, McDonald’s introduced the McGriddle nearly two decades ago, pioneering the combination of syrup-infused pancakes with traditional breakfast ingredients. This bold approach to balancing tastes has paved the way for chains like Shake Shack to explore internationally inspired ‘swicy’ combinations and for Starbucks to experiment with beverages that fuse spicy notes into their sweet, fruity refreshers.
By including a syrup drizzle and honey almond cream cheese with the more traditional breakfast staples like eggs, sausage, and cheddar cheese, Einstein Bros Bagels is not just following a trend but also setting the stage for what could be the next big hit in morning meals. Their commitment to this culinary fusion responds to customers’ growing interest in complex, multi-dimensional flavors that can be enjoyed any time of day.
So, will you be lining up to try the Maplehouse Egg Sandwich? Keep a lookout for what’s next, because if history has taught us anything, it’s that Einstein Bros Bagels is full of delicious surprises!
