Summer is the perfect season for a new food release! With that, different fast-food restaurants reveal summer lineups that feature coolers and grilled food items, which reminds us of the summer of our youth when we used to grill barbecue and burgers in the backyard.
Speaking of grilled food, something good is firing up at El Pollo Loco with the launch of their new menu items, and it’s got us excited!
El Pollo Loco is adding three new Fire-Grilled Chicken Burritos to their menu: Guacamole Chicken Burrito, Chipotle Guacamole Chicken Burrito, and Queso Guacamole Chicken Burrito. To fire the flavor up, each burrito is served with a handmade guacamole for dipping without additional charge.

- Guacamole Chicken Burrito – Features a citrus-marinated and fire-grilled chicken, guacamole, shredded Jack Cheese, pinto beans, fresh salsas fresca, and creamy cilantro dressing, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla and extra grilled.
- Chipotle Guacamole Chicken Burrito – Features a citrus-marinated chicken, guacamole, creamy chipotle sauce, shredded Jack Cheese, pinto beans, seasoned rice, and crunchy cabbage, all wrapped in a warm tortilla flour and extra grilled for a crispier bite.
- Queso Guacamole Chicken Burrito – This burrito features a fire-grilled shredded chicken, roasted tomato salsa, guacamole, pinto beans, diced onions, seasoned rice, queso sauce, and salsa fresca, all wrapped in warm tortilla flour and extra grilled.
El Pollo Loco’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jill Adams, said that they listened and took comments from their customers and redesigned their burrito lineup to be more flavorful and filling. These wrapped meals are all made with fresh and quality ingredients to ensure a premium but affordable dining experience.
The Fire-Grilled Burritos are priced at $9.99 each. We’re all excited to try this new lineup, but sadly, they are available only at participating locations. They are available to order online for pickup or delivery through their official website or the Loco Rewards app.

The new Fire-Grilled Chicken Burrito is not only a new release but also El Pollo Loco’s answer to improving customer satisfaction. This has been observed at El Pollo Loco for the past few years, from the surge of their new offerings to the campaigns that champion both guests and the environment.
Back in August 2021, the restaurant chain has committed themselves to the sustainable lifestyle by switching to more eco-friendly packaging. In the following year, they expanded their delivery services to customers since the world was currently in plight with the COVID-19 virus back then. This move has helped the restaurant to digitize their services to match the fast technological pace of the food industry.
As people became more conscious of what they put in their bodies, El Pollo Loco experimented on what they could offer. For instance, they introduced the Double Pollo Fit Bowls late last year, which features their fire-grilled chicken with your usual salad greens and a dressing to make the meal tastier.

I’m a big El Pollo Loco fan because I have a lot of memories of that restaurant during my childhood days. My favorite would probably be their famous fire-grilled chicken wrapped in their soft and chewy tortillas. It’s been a while since I last ate there, and I have yet to try their Fire-Grilled Chicken Burritos. Well, at least I will get to purchase something new when I finally eat at their restaurant for the best pollo experience!
