Panera has a new announcement and it’s about to change breakfast menus forever.
Pastries and sandwiches are the name of the game over at Panera Bread. They’re one of the best bakery-cafes in the fast food industry. They’ve been making some pretty amazing stuff over the years and it looks like they’re about to keep going up. They’ve maintained their status as one of the top dogs when it comes to anything with bread and things are about to get even better once they head into their new era.
Panera is taking breakfast into a whole new level by widening their breakfast options starting this June. They’ve responded to the preferences f their customers by bringing in more bacon, new proteins, and excellent twists on usual bakery favorites. That’s how you adapt and cater to your target audience. But what exactly are the changes we’re expecting? Here’s a complete rundown of their new menu:
Breakfast Sandwiches
Panera’s breakfast sandwiches are already some of the bests. They didn’t need to make changes at all. But after we’ve seen what they’re coming up with, it’s safe to say that everything is in good hands. What they’re about to release just might be absolutely hard to top.
- Bacon Double Take: This one is the star of the show. This sandwich doubles the bacon of the usual Panera breakfast sandwich and even adds two types of cheese for extra flavor. Bacon and cheese on toasted bread is just perfect.
- Steak & Wake: Need something with a little more complex flavor profile? This limited-time offering features marinated, thin-sliced steak on artisan Ciabatta bread. It’s a one of a kind menu item that you don’t want to miss out on.
- Ham, Egg & Cheese: This just sounds like the classic breakfast sandwich. It has a good source of protein and can be the perfect, hearty meal to start your day.
CinnaScrambles
Panera is also mixing things up with their CinnaScrambles. They’re combining classic breakfast sandwich ingredients with their famous cinnamon roll. It’s a new take that will bring together sweet and savory flavors. There are two items in this line of menu items.
- Sausage CinnaScramble: If you put together a savory sausage, a scrambled egg, melted American cheese in Panera’s cinnamon roll with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, you’ll get the Sausage CinnaScramble. It’s a gamechanging item that pushes the boundaries of what we can do with a cinnamon roll. To make it even better, you can customize it to add bacon.
- CinnaScramble: If you want something with no meat but has the same sweet and savory flavors, you can go with a plain CinnaScramble. This has scrambled eggs and melted American cheese on a warm cinnamon roll and finished with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
Limited-Time CinnaTops
But that’s not all! We’ve seen the savory options, the sweet & savory options, and now, we’re looking at something that’s just sweet. Panera introduced the CinnaTops which features a cinnamon roll base topped with icing and a choice of an iconic Panera bakery item. You can choose from their long list of sweet bakery items like Candy Cookies, Choco Chipper Cookies, or Fudgy Brownies.
It looks like our breakfast items for the summer are covered by Panera Bread. The best part is that they’re not done. This is only the beginning of their ongoing menu transformation. If this is just a glimpse, then I can’t wait for what they have in store for us in the future.

All the ingredients that went into this sandwich has unique flavors and textures that perfectly complement each other. It also comes with a choice of sauces which is always a good thing.

Panera is quietly taking over the breakfast sandwich space for years. This new announcement is their way of firmly grabbing the top spot and claiming it as their own. These new breakfast menu items are absolutely game-changing! Panera Bread has found a way to make flavors match in a very unique way. They’re truly pushing the boundaries of what you can do with a simple sandwich. Out of all these items, I’m really excited to try the new Sausage CinnaScramble.
