To be more specific, Taco Bell is staying true to its promise of dropping a new sweet-spicy sauce. Jack in the Box, on the other hand, is launching a new menu with intense watermelon flavor from SOUR PATCH KIDS®. Chick-fil-A is also joining this roundup because they have a menu update that will keep the tropical vibes on. Check out these crave-worthy menu stars!
Chick-fil-A’s Pineapple Dragonfruit Beverages
If you love Chick-fil-A‘s pineapple dragonfruit drinks, here’s the good news: the Pineapple Dragonfruit beverage lineup is extending its stay on the menu until August 16! That’s right, what started as a spring’s sweet escape will remain until summertime to quench your thirst. Chick-fil-A has made a fine job of combining sweet, juicy pineapples with the tropical twist of dragonfruit to create these four refreshing options:
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Frosted Lemonade – This combines lemonade (or diet lemonade) with Chick-fil-A’s signature Icedream dessert, mixed with natural dragonfruit and pineapple flavors.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Lemonade – This combines classic lemonade (or diet lemonade) with natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Iced Tea – This combines iced tea (made with freshly brewed tea leaves) with pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Sunjoy® – This combines Chick-fil-A’s Sunjoy (lemonade + freshly brewed sweetened iced tea) with natural dragonfruit and pineapple flavors.

Over at Jack in the Box, you can expect new menu items to drop next week, Thursday, May 29. The new menu features a flavor you thought you didn’t need for summer: SOUR PATCH KIDS® Watermelon! We bet the items are going to taste sour first, then sweet—just like the original gummy candies.
Jack in the Box’s SOUR PATCH KIDS® Watermelon Menu includes four new drinks:
- Watermelon Shake – Enjoy this creamy vanilla shake with swirls of SOUR PATCH KIDS® Watermelon flavors.
- Watermelon Twisted Soda – For a more refreshing drink, try this lemon lime soda swirled with SOUR PATCH KIDS® Watermelon flavors.
- Watermelon Lemonade – This drink combines classic lemonade with SOUR PATCH KIDS® Watermelon flavors to create a fruity delight.
- Watermelon Slushie – This slushie made with SOUR PATCH KIDS® Watermelon flavors is sour then sweet in every sip! Only available in select Austin, Salt Lake City, and Phoenix locations.

And speaking of sweet heat, are you ready to take this to the next level at Taco Bell? Yup, the fast food giant has finally dropped a new mouth-tingling offering, Mike’s Hot Honey Diablo Sauce! This new fiery sauce is hitting the menus today, May 22, nationwide.
Taco Bell gave a hint about an upcoming new sauce at Live Más LIVE event, and now, they’re delivering on their promises. The brand partnered with Mike’s Hot Honey to do what has never been done when it comes to sweet heat flavors and to create a new way to experience Crispy Chicken Nuggets.
The new sauce brings together Mike’s Hot Honey and Taco Bell’s bold Diablo heat to bring next-level sweet heat flavors to the chicken nuggets. Mike’s Hot Honey Diablo Sauce joins the chain’s original trio of sauces, giving you more ways to dunk, dip, and drizzle. Just note that the new sauce is available for a limited time only, so you better grab it while you can!

Can you feel the summer calling? No? Well, you might just need a little push, and by that, we mean trying out new menu releases that are reminiscent of summer picnics, road trips, and farmers’ market frenzy. Here are the latest menu drops you shouldn’t miss!
- Krispy Kreme’s Strawberry Glazed Doughnut – Finally, something good for the US fans! Krispy Kreme just brought back their fan-favorite Strawberry Glazed Doughnut, and this is part of the brand’s collaboration with PAC-MAN. You can enjoy this sweet treat for a limited time, from May 30 to June 1.
- Tender Greens’ Backyard Ribs – Tender Greens is serving up summer cookout vibes with two new chef-driven dishes: Backyard Ribs Plate and Backyard Ribs Family Meal. Both dishes feature slow-roasted St. Louis-style ribs, smothered in a chipotle honey barbecue sauce. If you’re all for sharing, try the family meal, which feeds four and served with your choice of two sides.
- Starbucks’ Summer-Berry Refreshers – Of course, summer season wouldn’t be complete without Starbucks’ summer menu, which dropped last Tuesday (May 20). Part of the early summer menu are the Summer-Berry Refreshers, made with a blend of raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry flavors, shaken and poured over raspberry-flavored pearls. Oher variations include Summer Skies Drink (with coconut milk) and Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher.
- Zaxby’s Handcrafted Milkshakes – In case you missed it, Zaxby’s is celebrating their 35th anniversary and their gifting fans with the return of Handcrafted Milkshakes. This time, they’re staying for good! Enjoy the shakes in four flavors: Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Birthday Cake, each one handspun and topped with whipped cream, festive sprinkles, and a Maraschino cherry.

I think May is shaping up to be the most eventful month so far with all these fast food menu updates. The stand out for me is Jack in the Box and their SOUR PATCH KIDS® Watermelon menu; I must say this brand never fails to think outside the box! And while I’m not a fan of spicy foods (sauces included), I think Taco Bell‘s new Mike’s Hot Honey Diablo Sauce is worth a try for fans of all things spicy. You never know when you need some nuggs drenched in mouth-tingling spice!
