Here’s our latest roundup of new tricks and treats introduced by McDonald’s Canada.
The Canadian counterpart of the Golden Arches Corporation is definitely not playing with their fast food game. They keep on raising the bar in new menu releases and even seasonal items, putting pressure on their counterparts in other countries, particularly in the USA. But there’s no hate here; no matter which McDonald’s releases more items, everything is just pure friendly and fast food-driven competition to keep all McDonald’s fans happy on each side of the border.
McDonald’s Canada recently launched bold new items on their menu, and I must say, it’s generating some buzz online. These latest items include the S’mores McFlurry, the Orange Cream Pop Shake, and the Big Arch burger. With this big of a lineup, of course, McDonald’s USA fans are crossing their fingers and hoping these new food items will also make their way to the United States.
S’mores McFlurry
McDonald’s Canada is taking the heat to another level when they recently released a new S’mores McFlurry flavor as an addition to their dessert lineup. This new flavor combines Mickey D’s signature creamy vanilla soft serve with crunchy graham crackers, fluffy mini marshmallows, and rich hot fudge. It sounds like a perfect Fall dessert if you ask me!
Orange Cream Pop Shake
Released last June, the Orange Cream Pop Shake was a real summer delight in Canada. It features a creamy blend of orange and vanilla, fitting right into the popular orange creamsicle trend here, and was a nod to the tropical vibes for summer. Sadly, it just stayed in Canada and didn’t made its way to the United States.
Big Arch Burger
For months, there has been rumors of a new burger coming at McDonald’s, it’s also been said to be bigger as their Big Mac. Afterwards, McDonald’s Canada has confirmed the arrival of the Big Arch Burger. This baddie has 1030 kcal, and features two quarter pound* 100% Canadian beef patties, layered with three slices of white processed cheese. It’s also topped with crispy onions, slivered onions, pickles, lettuce and delicious Big Arch sauce, and is served on a toasted sesame and poppy seed bun.
In addition to these new desserts, McDonald’s also features various Snack Wraps, which undoubtedly have been quite popular for Canadians. These Snack Wraps are available in various options, including Chicken, Ranch Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, and Spicy Buffalo Chicken Snack Wraps.

What Are Fans Saying?
McDonald’s Canada’s recent releases have gained mixed reactions and comments from online users. Though some are hopeful to get these items in America, some also shared their own thoughts and disagreed with the hype.
Social media comments on a food post show a mix of excitement and customer requests, with some fans asking for specific items to return and be made available to the U.S. menu, with the majority of the requests wanting the Snack Wraps back. Meanwhile, a Canadian user also raised their thoughts that McDonald’s Canada may regularly release new items but the food quality is not at par as most locations in McDonald’s USA.
But in general, these menu releases by McDonald’s Canada show the interest in more exciting fast food options that even McDonald’s fans in the USA are hopeful to get.

From The Club
I love how McDonald’s Canada is keeping it sweet and classic with their new releases per category; they have one new burger, different snack wraps, and two cold desserts. It’s like having a full-circle moment, but it’s in fast food terms. Somehow, I’ve come to accept that McDonald’s USA may not release some of these new items here, but I’m all good as long as they keep the food quality and taste excellent.
