Rediscovering the Classic Bomb Pop Flavor
Bomb Pop is not just a Popsicle; it’s a piece of Americana. This iconic frozen treat has delighted taste buds since the Eisenhower era, symbolizing summer and carefree days. The tri-colored pop—think red, white, and blue—was first created in 1955 by D.S. Abernethy and James S. Merritt, founders of the Merritt Foods company.
It’s been a hit ever since, and its taste and design are etched into the memory of Americans, young and old. Through the years, Bomb Pops have been more than just desserts; they’ve become a symbol of celebration, often associated with Fourth of July festivities.
Bomb Pop-Inspired Items Creates Buzz
Recently, Bomb Pop has not only conquered the freezer aisle but has also made waves in the food industry with inspired ventures. From The Club
Nostalgia has been a trend among fast food chains lately, as they’re releasing food items that have the taste of classic favorites. But that’s a good thing for us, as we’re taking a trip down memory lane and enjoying new food items. With the recent craze for Bomb Pop, several beverages mixed its classic taste, but a personal favorite of mine would be IHOP’s Unbelieva-Blue Soda Pop. Its blue raspberry taste has never left my mind since tasting it. I hope more brands will release their own blend of Bomb Pop, soon.
