What’s yellow and red, sells burgers, and is teaming up with Krispy Kreme? McDonald’s!
Krispy Kreme just announced they’re partnering with McDonald’s which means that we can get our favorite Krispy Kreme donuts at McDonald’s restaurants all over the country by the end of 2026. Yup, you read that right!
After doing a test run in a few McDonald’s spots in Kentucky, Krispy Kreme decided to move forward and roll out their famous donuts to more places. Whether it’s in stores or on their drive-thrus, we’ll be able to grab a single donut or a box of six. Think about sinking your teeth into their famous original glazed donut or the yummy chocolate iced one with sprinkles. You can start to find these treats in McDonald’s from breakfast time until they run out each day.
McDonald’s is pretty happy too. They think this new team-up will help them sell more and make breakfast times even more fun. Plus, this could mean more money for the people who own the McDonald’s stores. One expert thinks this could mean an extra $53,600 to $74,400 in sales for each McDonald’s every year.
Most McDonald’s owners are excited about selling Krispy Kreme donuts. When they were asked last July, more than half said they’d like to have them in their restaurants.
Krispy Kreme is also excited because they have big dreams. They’re looking to add 15,000 new places where people can buy their donuts, including in grocery stores and little shops. With this McDonald’s deal, they’re thinking they can earn an extra $340 million to $430 million each year!
Even though Krispy Kreme is growing in different countries, they see a big chance for success in the U.S. because of McDonald’s. They even have plans to start this big donut party at the end of this year without needing any special changes. They’ll just keep making lots of donuts and sometimes buy some new equipment to make even more.
Krispy Kreme’s money person said they’re spending some money to get started, but they’re sure it’s going to work out just fine.
And guess what? This could mean Krispy Kreme shows up in other big stores like Walmart and Target too. The people at Krispy Kreme are super excited to make sure their donuts are amazing, and they’re working hard to make sure they can deliver them to all these places on time.
Unwrapping the Krispy Kreme Legacy
Krispy Kreme is the home of everyone’s favorite doughnuts. It has a rich history that can be traced back to over 80 years ago! It all started back in 1937, when Vernon Rudolph created his recipe for Krispy Kreme’s signature doughnuts and sold it to local grocery stores in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This proved to be an instant hit and the demand for his doughnuts grew. Pretty soon, Rudolph opened up his own shop.

The famous Original Glazed Doughnut, which is still adored to this day, is their most sought after product. It was just a simple recipe at first but what Rudolph didn’t know that it would also be his recipe for success. From then on, Krispy Kreme became a household name.
