Individuals looking to spark love often go to coffee shops for their first-date spot and this summer, Caribou Coffee takes it to another level. To celebrate their new iced drink menu crafted for Gen Z guests, the premium coffeehouse brand will be premiering dating show in Tiktok. This new show aims to spark connections (and maybe love) among young singles who are looking for romance, or a summer fling.
Caribou Coffee also announced that comedian and reality TV star Hannah Berner, known for her comedy and podcasts, Giggly Squad and Berner Phone, will host the six-episode series entitled “Dream Date: A Sip At Love”. Berner has been picked to host the series thanks to her ability to let people open up, laugh, and just be their authentic selves to create genuine conversation. She will be bringing these attributes to let Gen Z singles feel comfortable, open up to lots of conversations, and answer personal questions in each short-form episode of the TikTok dating show.
Each of these six episodes will highlight two participants going on a speed-date setting and Berner will help determine if it’s a dreamy match or just a real pass. Candidates were selected during a casting call in Minneapolis, where Caribou’s headquarters sits.
The first episode of Dream Date: A Sip At Love has premiered on June 26, 2024, on Caribou’s TikTok channel, with highlights posted on the brand’s Instagram account (@cariboucoffee). New episodes will then air weekly throughout the summer. To promote the series, Caribou has released a trailer for it on their Tiktok channel.
Back to their Gen Z-inspired drink menu, it features both Fruit Shakers and Energy Drinks that are perfect to beat the summer heat. Initially launched in early May, the iced beverage line consists of 11 varieties that are made with fruit-forward flavors and are ideal picks for a first date. These Fruit Shakers combine real fruit with fruit juices containing coconutmilk, highlighting a creamy texture available in Strawberry, Peach, and Berry Punch.
If you’re the type who wants to give off a strong impression on your first date, you might want to try Caribou’s Energy Drinks. These handcrafted coffee-forward beverages come in four flavors with a caffeine kick: Blue Raspberry, Strawberry Pineapple, Peach Mango, and Pomegranate Acai.
