Any woman who experienced pregnancy would know their daily love-hate relationship with food. There are moments when just the scent of certain foods can be off-putting, while at other times, intense cravings for a specific food can take over. It often feels like their hormones are playing tricks on them. Regardless, we give them what they want, which is why Grubhub is handing a gift to moms during their post-delivery meal with a deal made just for them.
Pregnancy is a beautiful experience, and Grubhub understands that. Starting today until the end of August (peak baby delivery month in the U.S.), Grubhub will be sponsoring the first meal of moms who just delivered their babies with the launch of Special Delivery. New and expectant moms can head over to GrubhubSpecialDelivery.com every Wednesday at noon ET to claim their $20 promotion codes for a meal they’ve been dreaming of.

Are you thinking of what food to get already? Go on, the $20 credit is good for any post-delivery meal of your choice in Grubhub. But act fast as there are only limited promotion codes up for claim as high demand is expected.
Why stop at just a Special Delivery offer? Grubhub understands that the first year of giving birth is filled with sleepless nights and countless run-ins at grocery stores. It can sometimes be chaotic, but it’s a beautiful experience! With all that being said, Grubhub is offering all moms who claimed a Special Delivery with a free one year of Grubhub+ to enjoy the perks that come with it, such as offering $0 delivery fees, lower service fees on eligible orders, 5% credit back on pickup orders, exclusive offers, and more.
The Special Delivery initiative is part of Grubhub’s effort to be a part of their customers’ most special moments. They wanted to make memories with you through food, and we’re definitely here for it! The offer is available throughout all U.S. locations where Grubhub operates.

Let’s Dive Deeper in Grubhub’s Post-Delivery Study
Did you know that 75 percent of expectant moms consider postpartum meals as part of their birth plan? This is according to Grubhub’s recent survey, which reveals that moms know what they want to eat after giving birth. After nine months of strict diet and “NOs”, moms are in for a treat and Grabhub wants to be a part of that.
Here are more findings that point to food being a special part of pregnancy:
- Cravings before comfort: It was revealed that 51% of surveyed moms said that they are most looking forward to eating restricted foods after they give birth.
- Postpartum meal as a priority: 46% or nearly half of the surveyed moms have planned their postpartum meal within the first two trimesters of pregnancy. This may sound funny, but moms in their third trimester know what they will choose as a post-delivery meal before they decide on their child’s name.
- Dreaming of deli: Do you remember the postpartum meal you wished to have back when you were pregnant? 31% of moms are found to crave cold cuts putting deli meats at the top of their list for a postpartum meal.
- Prioritization of restaurant food: Could you imagine not eating your favorite restaurant food for nine months? That’s a reality for pregnant women, which is why 61% chose their favorite restaurant food over a home-cooked meal and hospital food.
- Food as gifts: The next time that you are choosing a gift for a mom who just gave birth, get them their favorite food or groceries instead. It was revealed in Grubhub’s survey that 40% of moms prefer receiving a week’s worth of food delivery or groceries as gifts from family, friends, and colleagues.
