We’re halfway through July and the summer heat is far from over. We’re just getting started on a year filled with hot menu releases, limited-time deals, and brand collaborations. Hot Dog on a Stick, a quick summer spot for classic hot dogs and sweet beverages, is exploring unique team ups with brands that bring joy to their customers.

Hot Dog on a Stick is showing some extra love for its dog fans trying to beat this summer’s heat. Through August 11, 2024, the casual food chain is teaming up with dog-loving brands to bring our furry friends unique merchandise and treats, perfect for this season’s warm days.

Hot Dog on a Stick Brings the Dogs to Dog Days of Summer

Hot Dog on a Stick is launching “Dog Days of Summer“, with several deals up on their sleeves that aims to treat their customer’s furry friends with dog freebies.

  • For every purchase of $20 or more, customers will receive a free Hot Dog on a Stick x Milk-Bone dog bandana and a free bag of Milk-Bone Minis for their pups to enjoy.
  • Plus, pet lovers can also check out @hotdogonastick’s Instagram social account for weekly chances to win exclusive merchandise, including treats, toys, and leashes from Yummers Pets, ZippyPaws, Cookies & Co., JustFoodforDogs, and PupLid.
  • In addition to hosting giveaways on Instagram, Hot Dog on a Stick will also showcase some pups up for adoption in partnership with the Los Angeles non-profit dog rescue, HIT Living Dog Rescue.

But that’s not all! On August 11, the chain will collaborate with longtime partner Santa Monica Brew Works for the ultimate pup-up bash in Santa Monica, CA. In this team up, every dollar from a sale of Santa Monica Brew Works’ 310 Stomped Shandy blended with Hot Dog on a Stick Lemonade will be donated to the organization. Hot Dog on a Stick will also be serving up their famous, hand-stomped lemonade and in lieu of payment, they are allowing fans to share a monetary donation of their choice to HIT Living Dog Rescue.

Iconic Food and Pet Friendly Collaboration

Hot Dog on a Stick‘s “Dog Days of Summer” is more than a marketing campaign, it also features their sense of awareness about their customers and using this to connect with them on a personal level. The rate of pet ownership have been rising in the United States, and with this comes the rise in pet-related expenses, with a whopping $100 billion spent in 2021 as shared by American Pet Products Association. With these information in mind, Hot Dog on a Stick has made use of their means to offer food lovers and pet owners a summer worthy of dog-owner connection.

“Dog Days of Summer” features a creative and touching approach to cross-promote two industries, food and pet supplies. Through partnering with popular pet brands like Milk-Bone and other pet product companies, Hot Dog on a Stick strategically expands their reach while maintaining their stand as a food brand. Plus, their pup-up bash crafted with Santa Monica Brew Works both celebrates food and drinks, but also caters to the charitable cause of pet adoption, eventually helping Hot Dog on a Stick with their commitment as a socially responsible company.

And with Hot Dog on a Stick’s social media contest at play, they are announcing the campaign to all dog owners and pet lovers across the nation. Having weekly giveaways also boost their connection withh followers and expands their reach to non-followers. Having these online activities not only help Hot Dog on a Stick get more reach but also contributes to the charitable cause of pet ownership, pet adoption, and donation.

From The Club

I love it when fast food brands go out of their way and contribute to a cause bigger than just getting profits. And Hot Dog on a Stick‘s “Dog Days of Summer” is a campaign I’ll whole-heartedly support. More than their online campaigns, they also have a pup-up bash in Santa Monica on August 11, which everyone can visit and contribute, even non-dog owners. Just show up, buy a drink, and your payment will support the cause for HIT Living Dog Rescue. This marketing campaign’s close to my heart, it’s a full-circle moment for dog owners, pups, and pet loving organizations.
