Feeling nostalgic? Check out this new meal from McDonald’s!
When we think about McDonald’s, we usually think about their food like Big Macs, Quarter Pounders, McNuggets, McFlurrys. But another thing that we associate them with is pure nostalgia. McDonald’s has been around for a long time and for a lot of us, it was a big part of our childhoods. What made us so fond of the chain, apart from their food, was their collectible Happy Meals!
When we were kids, nothing compared to the joy of getting these little toys from McDonald’s and we were all racing to complete them all. Some of them actually paid off and became valuable collectible items today. This has been a part of their identity for years. So to celebrate our fondness for these keepsakes, they’re dropping a new menu item that promises to remind us of our favorite McDonald’s Collectibles that also happens to include another set of merchandise for us to collect.
McDonald’s is introducing a special new meal called the Collector’s Meal to their menu. Each meal will feature a collectible cup with a design inspired by classic McDonald’s items from the past. There are six cups to collect in total and will feature designs inspired by classic McDonald’s items we’ve loved over the years. You get cups that showcase Barbie and Hot Wheels, Beanie Babies, Coca-Cola, the famous Hello Kitty and Peanuts, Shrek, Jurassic Park, and Minions, and of course, McDonald’s itself.
Let’s be honest, most of us are getting this meal for the collectible cup. But that doesn’t mean that the meal itself isn’t any good. In fact, if you take out the cup, this will still be a pretty great value meal. The Collector’s Meal has two versions: a breakfast meal and a lunch/dinner meal. The breakfast version includes a sausage McMuffin with egg sandwich, a hash brown, and a hot coffee. On the other hand, the lunch/dinner version includes either a 10-piece McNuggets or a Big Mac, with French fries and a soft drink.
This is an exciting new offer from McDonald’s and the best part is, we wouldn’t even have to wait that long for it to drop. The McDonald’s Collector’s Meal is set to hit menus on August 13, 2024 as a limited-time offer. Since it’s a limited-time offer, you really can’t tell how much time you have to actually complete the collection. So if you’re set on collecting all of them, you better get your hands on these special-edition cups sooner rather than later.

What’s New at McDonald’s?
McDonald’s has been pretty busy lately with all the new stuff they’ve been putting out. The Collector’s Meal might be making all the headlines, but they’ve got a couple more things up their sleeve that deserve just as much attention. For instance, they’ve got a new big burger coming out and a new super exclusive McFlurry flavor. Let’s talk about them.
Biscoff McFlurry
First up, we’ve got an amazing new addition to McDonald’s roster of McFlurry flavors. Biscoff Cookies are pretty famous for their distinct flavor. I don’t exactly know how to describe it but the closes I could come up with is that it tastes a little bit like burnt or toasted caramel. But that said, Biscoff is definitely a great treat that pairs well with most desserts. Just ask Krispy Kreme. McDonald’s decided to take the iconic cookie and mix it with their signature vanilla soft serve resulting in the Biscoff McFlurry. It actually sounds like the perfect summer treat. The only thing wrong with it is that it’s only available in a single location which is the international headquarters restaurant located in Chicago, IL; specifically, the 1035 W. Randolph location. If you’re around the area, you wouldn’t want to miss this limited-time dessert.
Big Arch
Here’s something that’s still being kept under wraps. McDonald’s recently announced that they’re coming up with a brand-new burger that’s set to be even bigger than the Big Mac. Officially named the Big Arch, this new burger It will feature two beef patties, melting cheese, crispy toppings, and a tangy new sauce. It has everything going for it to be a great burger. But will it actually dethrone the Big Mac? Guess we’ll find out. At the moment, McDonald’s is planning on testing the Big Arch in undisclosed international locations before we get an official release.

It’s been a while since we got a set of collectibles from McDonald’s that are actually worth collecting and lining up for. Good thing, we’re getting the new Collector’s Meal in a few days.
