IHOP is back with a new Pancake of the Month! Most of the new pancakes they’ve come up with so far have been pretty great and this June just might be their best one yet.
The International House of Pancake. That’s what IHOP stands for and they’re truly living up to that name thanks to their dedication and commitment to only giving their customers the best pancake experience they can come up with. A big reason they’re on top when it comes to pancakes are their unique and innovative Pancakes of the Month, where they release a limited-time flavor of pancake that will last through out a certain month.
This June, IHOP has announced their latest Pancake of the Month: Orange Cream Pancakes! This sound absolutely delicious as it combines a rich citrus, fruity flavor with a creamy texture. The Orange Cream Pancake is made of buttermilk pancakes topped with vanilla mousse, orange sauce, and whipped topping. You can enjoy this new pancake in a four-stack or even in a combo, where you can pair it with your other favorite breakfast items like bacon strips, pork sausage links, eggs and hash browns.
Like their previous Pancakes of the Month, the Orange Cream Pancakes would be available starting on June 1, 2024 all the way to June 30, 2024. It’s here for a limited time but a month is already plenty of time for us to enjoy this new pancake from IHOP.
What is IHOP’s Pancake of the Month?
IHOP’s Pancake of the Month is their recently launched special program that introduces a new pancake flavor every month. It only began in 2024 and is proving to be one of the best ideas they’ve ever had. It’s a brilliant move; it lets them innovate and be creative with their pancakes and it gives customers an incentive to keep coming back for more new flavors. It keeps IHOP’s menu fresh and gives us all something to look forward to.
In recent months, this new program proved to be a success. They first released a Pancake of the Month in February where they celebrated both National Pancake Month and Valentine’s Day with the Chocolate Strawberry Pancake. In March, they collaborated with the Girl Scout Program and released the Girl Scout Thin Mint Pancakes. April’s Pancake of the Month was also part of a collaboration; they released the Cinnamon Apple Pecan Pancakes with maple syrup made with Pepsi. And finally, the most recent Pancake of the Month was in May where IHOP made the White Chocolate Raspberry Pancakes to help celebrate Mother’s Day. It’s definitely a nice trend and if this keeps up, we’re set to receive a ton of new and delicious new pancake flavors for the rest of the year.

Unique Menu Additions at IHOP
In the last two years, IHOP has continued to make headlines with their creative and timely adaptations to their classic offerings. Their limited-time items would often generate buzz online and in the news. For example, during the 2020 Halloween season, IHOP captivated food enthusiasts with their spooky-themed pancakes, making waves on social media platforms.
IHOP’s introduction of their IHOPPY Hour, which provides discounted prices on menu items during specific hours, was also widely covered in 2021. This change not only catered to customers looking for value but also reinvented how patrons engaged with the brand outside traditional breakfast hours.
They even broke the internet at one point when they temporarily changed their name to “IHOb” to promote their new line of burgers. Back in 2018, the internet went crazy trying to guess what the “b” stood for. This marketing campaign generated massive buzz on social media, with millions of people talking about the brand. Though the name change was short-lived, it served as a clever way to remind everyone that IHOP offers more than just breakfast.

I’m a huge fan of IHOP’s Pancake of the Month program. I’ve been going to IHOP for years and I can’t believe it took them this long to do this. But anyway, I’m really glad they did because most of the flavors we’ve had this year were pretty awesome. This month, it looks like we’re getting the Orange Cream Pancake which kinda fits the whole summer vibe we’re about to get into. I haven’t tried it yet but I bet it would be just as good as the other Pancakes of the Month.
