From Small-Town Store to International Sensation

It began with Donald and Susan Sutherland who simply wanted to create the perfect ice cream experience. With that mission, they set out and opened a small ice cream shop in Tempe, Arizona. The ice cream options at the time was not enough for the Sutherlands, so they went on a journey to create their own unique blend.
After years of hard work, their classic made-from-scratch ice cream recipe finally paid off. They came up with a revolutionary “cold stone” concept that involved ice cream being mixed on a frozen slab of granite right in front of customers.
