Latest Fast Food Deals Revealed October's Cheesy Treats and More

October is off to a cheesy start with new and returning items from various fast food brands. Meanwhile, a new snacking companion is about to shake up your snack routine.

It seems like this month is the perfect time for cheese lovers to go out and scout for new comfort food options. Sometimes, nothing can soothe your senses quite like the taste and texture of ooey gooey cheese. Time to set aside the classics like mac and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches. We have treats waiting for you with shredded, smoked, and golden-fried cheese! Indulge in these new items from the following fast food restaurants:

Taco Bell

Taco Bell is bringing back an item that has been receiving much love since 1995, the Double Decker Taco. While it’s not exactly a cheesy treat, the shredded cheese included in the tacos add a nice, savory touch. The Double Decker Taco is coming back to Taco Bell menus on October 10, 2024. What makes this item unique is that the taco shell is wrapped with a bean-filled tortilla. Inside the taco, you’ll also find crisp lettuce, seasoned beef, and of course, the shredded cheddar cheese.

If that already sounds like a treat, wait until you try the Double Decker Taco Supreme. It holds all the same ingredients previously mentioned, but with the addition of diced tomatoes and reduced-fat sour cream. This variation is also making a return along with the standard Double Decker Taco. Both items will be available in participating Taco Bell locations nationwide and fans are rejoicing because they no longer need to “hack their way” to a Double Decker Taco. As expected, the new items will be up for grabs for a limited time, so be there when they drop!

Jimmy John’s

Smoked Cheddar Bourbon Club

Let’s move on to something you can already have when you get that cheese craving. Introducing: Jimmy John’s Smoked Cheddar Bourbon Club. After hearing that it has premium meats and a smooth bourbon sauce, I’m quite sold already! Aside from the “top-shelf sauce,” the smoked cheddar is also a star of this sandwich. Just imagine the firm and creamy cheese, giving off a great balance of savory and smoky flavors. And let’s not forget about the meats because there are options for you to choose from.

The Smoked Cheddar Bourbon Club comes in two variations: Roast Beef & Bacon and Turkey & Bacon. Whether you choose to have one with roast beef or turkey, expect a layer of crisp bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato, smoked cheddar cheese, mayo, and the new creamy sriracha bourbon sauce. These ingredients come together on a freshly baked French bread, with the entire sandwich starting at 590 calories. It’s also a limited-time offer, available in all participating locations. As for prices, the regular-sized Smoked Cheddar Bourbon Club would cost around $9.69, while the Giant one is worth $17.79. Prices may vary by location.

Culver’s

CurderBurger

A legend is also coming back to Culver’s menus this October 15, 2024, just in time for the National Cheese Curd Day. The CurderBurger will be here again for a limited time to delight the taste buds of cheese lovers. The fan-favorite item is returning for the fourth time since it was introduced as an April Fools’ Day joke in 2021. In the same year, Culver’s turned the burger into a reality due to popular demand and made it available only for a day during the National Cheese Curd Day. The CurderBurger was such a hit, it got sold out within two hours in some restaurants.

For those who aren’t familiar, the CurderBurger features two patties (or it looks like it). The first one is a never-frozen beef patty and one top of it is the golden-fried cheese crown. It’s a blend of white and yellow cheddar cheese coated with seasoned and crispy breadcrumbs. They go into toasted, buttered buns, along with tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, sweet red onion, and signature mayo.

If there’s a returning item, there’s also a new one; Culver’s like to make that kind of splash! Also hitting the menus this October 15 is the Hot Honey Cheese Curds. This new item features crunchy golden-fried Wisconsin Cheese Curds with hot honey breading, offering a hint of delicious sweet heat! Both the Hot Honey Cheese Curds and CurderBurger will be available through October 31, 2024 or until supplies last.

From The Club

October is about to get cheesy with all these treats! I love seeing legendary menu items coming back, and I’m really looking forward to the return of CurderBurger. Cheeseburgers hold a special place in my heart, and I must say that CurderBurger is one of the most unique variations of cheeseburger I have ever seen. Anyway, the launch of Dip ‘N Sip is also good news to me because I almost always order my pretzels with dip and a drink. I bet it’s going to be convenient to have that around and much better if Auntie Anne’s has a reusable one!

Special thanks to @markie_devo for the tip!
