We’re still in spring season, but summer-themed releases are already coming in. That means, more strawberry-flavored menu items! Checkers & Rally’s is the latest chain to hop on the strawberry train, releasing a new bite-sized indulgence that’s coming for KFC’s Strawberry and Creme pie poppers. Meanwhile, Burger King is coming in hot with a new sweet and spicy bundle for fans who are looking for both delicious flavors and decent savings. For something unique, head over to Wienerschnitzel, as they just dropped a new crispy creation that chicken fans will love. Let’s dive deeper into these new fast food releases!
Burger King’s Sweet & Spicy Bundle
Burger King fans, rejoice! There’s another way for you to save, all while indulging in the classic BK flavors. Say hello to the new Sweet & Spicy bundle, a new digital-only deal. So yes, you can only grab this fast food deal via the Burger King app or online at bk.com.
The new Sweet & Spicy Bundle includes a choice of any two BK Crispy Wraps, four pieces of Jalapeño Cheddar Bites, and four pieces of Churro Fries. The best part? All of these will just cost you $8! If purchased individually, these items will amount to $11.36. So, by purchasing the new Sweet & Spicy bundle, you’ll save more than $3. Not bad at all!
Additionally, participating Burger King locations are offering the Family Steakhouse Combo, a new digital-exclusive deal with a suggested price of $27 (price may vary). This deal includes the following items:
- Two Steakhouse Bacon Whoppers
- Two Cheeseburgers
- Two small French Fries
- Two 4-piece Jalapeño Cheddar Bites
- An 8-piece order of Churro Fries
Both the Sweet & Spicy Bundle and Family Steakhouse Combo are available at participating Burger King locations for a limited time only.
Checkers & Rally’s New Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Bites and Tropical Energy Slushies
It’s the season of strawberries, so it’s not really a surprise that we’re seeing so many strawberry-flavored treats from fast food chains. However, at Checkers & Rally’s, instead of mixing strawberries into a frozen beverage, they’re releasing a crispy pastry bursting with strawberry goodness. Get ready for the new Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Bites!
It’s hard not to compare these new bites with KFC’s recently released Strawberry and Creme pie poppers, but we’ll try. 😂 The new treats at Checkers & Rally’s are actually quite different because they feature creamy vanilla cheesecake, along with real strawberry pieces, stuffed inside bite-sized crispy pastry shells. The Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Bites are also dusted with powdered sugar for that extra little sweetness.
Checkers & Rally’s is also introducing the all-new Tropical Energy Slushies (with a caffeine kick) to give you the energy boost you need for warmer days ahead. These slushies are made with fruity flavors combined with an energy shot. Try any (or both) of the available flavors: Piña Colada and Strawberry Piña Colada. These slushies are also available without caffeine—just specify your request when you order.
Wienerschnitzel’s Southern Bird Dogs
The world’s largest hot dog chain, Wienerschnitzel, got inspired by a unique and delicious South Carolina dish, Bird Dogs, which are crispy chicken tenders served on hot dog buns, plus toppings. Thanks to this dish, Wienerschnitzel moved to release a new menu item, Southern Bird Dogs, available now at over 300 restaurants nationwide.
According to Wienerschnitzel, each Southern Bird Dog features a marinated chicken breast tender, coated in a signature crunchy breading, and then served in a hot dog bun. The new Southern Bird Dogs are available in three flavors:
- Bacon Ranch – Includes a chicken breast tender, diced bacon, two slices of tomato, and ranch.
- BBQ – Includes a chicken breast tender, pickle spear, grilled onions, and BBQ sauce.
- Buffalo Ranch – Includes a chicken breast tender, two slices of tomato, ranch, and buffalo.
In addition to the new Southern Bird Dogs, you can also enjoy the following chicken items and combos at Wienerschnitzel:
- Tenders ordered as an a la carte item
- Regular Combo that includes two tenders, regular fries, and a dipping sauce
- Large Combo that includes four tenders, large fries, and two dipping sauces
Wienerschnitzel’s Chief Marketing Officer, Doug Koegeboehn, shared that the new Southern Bird Dogs are the perfect way to introduce chicken at their restaurants. They’re served in hot dog buns, so the introduction was seamless. The overall flavor? A clear winner, he added.

- Freddy’s BBQ Brisket Steakburger – Over at Freddy’s, get ready to be treated to a meaty, filling burger. The new BBQ Brisket Steakburger just dropped and it’s next level because it features a pit-smoked (for 16 hours) sliced brisket, two steakburger patties, onions, American cheese, and pickles. All served on a King’s Hawaiian bun with a smoky BBQ sauce.
- Popeyes’ $6 Big Box – Popeyes also brought back a popular offering, and this time, it’s a fast food deal. The $6 Big Box comes in two variations: Signature Chicken Big Box and Tenders Big Box, available through June 1, 2025.

For those craving something new and bold, Wienerschnitzel is the place to be. Their Southern Bird Dogs sound unique but delicious, especially the one in Buffalo Ranch flavor. For fast food savings?
