The Secret Little Caesars Crazy Puffs Recipe is Here!
People are going crazy for these Little Caesars Crazy Puffs, and we’re releasing the recipe just in the nick of time.

What Are Little Caesars Crazy Puffs?
The Little Caesars Crazy Puffs were introduced in March 2024 and are sold as a pack of four. You can choose either Cheese Crazy Puffs or Pepperoni Crazy Puffs. They were an instant success throughout social media. They sell for $4.99 as a pack of four and are for a limited time.
Crazy Puffs are quite simply mini pizza muffins ( also known as Little Caesars Pizza Puffs) that include the same ingredients as a pizza: Pizza Dough, Mozzarella Cheese, Garlic Butter, and your choice of toppings such as Pepperoni, Sausage, Veggies, Bacon, or Mushrooms. So lets now talk about the Little Caesars Crazy Puffs Recipe we created.
Crazy Puff Breakfast Ideas
Another great meal prep for the week is to create a Breakfast Crazy Puff, similar to the Starbucks Egg Bites, but Little Caesar’s style. The preparation of the dough is the same, however you can add your mixture of eggs, onions, bell peppers, and shredded cheddar cheese for a classic Western Omelette style. Add some pieces of pepperoni or red pepper flakes for some extra bite as well. For a Breakfast Crazy Puff, adding the pizza sauce isn’t necessary.
Let’s Get Into The Little Caesars Crazy Puffs Recipe
Below, we’re going to outline the entire recipe for you. Here’s our video to show you how easy the Little Caesars Crazy Puffs recipe is. There are several key tricks to making them delicious every time, and I’d love to see what combinations people can come up with.
Crazy Puff Mistakes I Made (So You Shouldn’t)
I’ve made the Crazy Puffs about four times in a row and have learned some of the do’s and don’ts to perfect these:
- The cheese is the star of the show, so make sure you use a good quality mozzarella and parmesan to give you that fresh taste. You could step up the freshness and get both of them in blocks and do the cheese grating yourself.
- If you’re buying pizza dough from the grocery store, make sure you leave it out for at least 1-2 hours to get to room temperature. I didn’t do this on my first batch and when I was waiting for the dough to rise, I had to wait about 3-4 hours later just to finish them. They still turned out great, but it just is something I didn’t know (I’m not a pro chef or baker).
- The pizza dough you buy from the grocery store may not rise as high as if you made the dough from scratch. It’s not a big deal and it doesn’t make any difference when it’s finished. I would just make sure you bake just a tad longer to ensure it’s cooked thoroughly.
- Rao’s sauce is amazing! I’m not paid to endorse them, and I’ve tried a classic marinara and another brand of sauce; but Rao’s had the best flavors and I loved the chunks of tomatoes. It also makes a great dipping sauce for your Crazy Puffs.
- I’ve chosen bottled minced garlic and garlic powder because its fast and convenient for people. I typically use fresh garlic in all of my day to day meals, and the difference between using one or the other is taste / freshness. If I used the fresh garlic, it will be the star of the show; not the cheese. It will have a great garlic flavor, but if you’re spending a decent amount of money on cheese, it will ruin those mild cheese flavors.
- Don’t worry if you aren’t able to form a ‘cup’ with your dough. Sometimes it works for me, sometimes it doesn’t. But when I use pepperoni as one of the layers it helps keep the cup open for the rest.
- Sea salt over plain ionized salt! The flavor is better and its one more clean ingredient you are using vs. the Little Caesar’s Crazy Puffs.
- One of my Crazy Puffs is equivalent to two of the Little Caesar’s Crazy Puff’s. A 12 muffin pan is the perfect size and I can get full after eating two of these!
- You can use cooking spray but to be honest, I prefer the garlic melted butter method much better.

Little Caesars Crazy Puffs Recipe
Pizza lovers, get ready! You can now make Little Caesars’ Pizza Puffs at home with this easy recipe. Just mix up some garlic butter, push pizza dough into a muffin tin, and fill with tasty toppings like cheese and pepperoni. Bake until golden, and you’ve got a yummy snack to share. Enjoy these cheesy, garlicky bites with a side of ranch for a perfect treat!
- Muffin Pan
- Small Bowl
- Oven
- Pastry Brush
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons parsley (finely chopped, optional)
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 8 ounces pepperoni (or turkey pepperoni)
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 450°F. Let pizza dough get to room temperature (1-2 hours from a refrigerator).
Start by making the garlic butter. In a small bowl, combine melted unsalted butter with finely chopped parsley, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, a pinch of salt and pepper, and dried oregano. Set this mixture aside for later use.
Take your pizza dough and divide it into equal-sized small balls, roughly the size of a ping pong ball.
Brush the inside of each cup of a muffin tin with some of the prepared garlic butter.
Cooking / Creating
Place each dough ball into its own cup in the muffin tin. Cover them and let them rise in a warm place until they double in size (30-45 minutes)
Once the dough has risen, use a small glass or the bottom of a muddler to push down the center of each dough ball to create a cup shape. Using your fingers to create the mold also works fine.
Brush the inside of each dough cup with more garlic seasoning butter.
Fill each cup with marinara sauce, a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese, and your choice of toppings, such as turkey pepperoni or vegetables.
Add another layer of marinara sauce, more toppings, and a final layer of cheese, making sure to cover the entire surface area for a crispy edge. Use the parmesan and mozzarella blend on top to create the crispy top.
Sprinkle Italian seasoning over each filled cup.
Cooking
Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 12- 15 minutes, or until the edges of the pizza puffs are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
Keep an eye on the puffs to prevent burning.
Serving / Presentation
Once out of the oven, let the pizza puffs cool for about 5 minutes. This will make them easier to handle and prevent burns.
Carefully remove the puffs from the muffin tin and place them on a serving tray.
Serve the pizza puffs warm with a side of ranch dressing for dipping.
Enjoy your homemade Little Caesars' Crazy Puffs with friends and family!
This was delicious! I don’t eat pork so I’m glad I was able to find this recipe. Everything came out perfect. You do have to watch it so it doesn’t burn. I baked mine for about 10 minutes.
I tried this recipe and made it exactly as per the ingredients and directions the only thing I added was a little red pepper flakes sprinkled on top of the pepperoni. I think they taste even better than Little Ceasar’s Crazy Puffs!
I had just bought a silicone pan for mini mini loaves to make individual pound cakes and decided to use it since my muffin pan had a little rust on it. I sprinkled a little Parmesan on top of each and served them with buttermilk ranch dressing. My son ate five and I had three. We were pretty hungry since it was lunch and we hadn’t had breakfast. A few hours later he asked if we had any left. Unfortunately it was an 8 mini-loaf, loaf pan! Suffice it to say I’m sure I will be making these again in the very near future.
Thank you for the great recipe. It’s going in my three-ring binder of recipes.
This was my second attempt at making these and first time with this recipe as a guide. NAILED IT!!! Really appreciated the lessons learned section. Different from my first attempt and this recipe, I used margarine instead of butter and just garlic powder/salt vs fresh or jarred. Less “healthy” but made it taste exactly like the original. Key is the size of the dough ball. Ping pong ball is perfect description. Less than my original instinct. Really just “cups” the bottom half in the muffin tin. Thank you fast food club!! These will be home made from now on.
Love it! I made my own pizza dough
These were delicious. My husband has wanted to try them for months. We live kinda out of the way and finally made it to a LC to pick up a 4 pack. We were hooked.
I had some sauce left over from our visit and used that. I’ve made some notes to tweak for next time.
1# of dough was a little much for 12 puffs…standard muffin cups. I made my own and the final dough recipe was 13 oz, each tin had a little more than an ounce. With the rising, I think half an ounce will work… will make the final result less bready and will also give me closer to 24 puffs! 4 pieces of pepperoni was perfect, cheese was perfect, garlic butter sauce i used a little too much, didn’t use enough I pizza sauce… I will aim for a TB or more per puff. I would love to find a sauce similar to what LC uses.
I’m so excited that these turned out so well and plan to make them again! Thank you for sharing your recipe!!
