Summer has just started, yet McDonald’s is taking on the heat already!
Enjoying the summer menu so far? McDonald’s is continuously bringing us their summer releases, and we’re having them! While everyone awaits the release of the Snack Wraps on July 10, the chain is dropping another chicken menu favorite on July 8. It’s none other than the new Spicy McMuffin, which is a limited-time release.
In honor of their 50th anniversary, the legendary McMuffin is going on the spicy road. It builds on the classic filling of melty cheese, Canadian bacon, and a freshly cracked egg that is now sourced 100% cage-free in U.S. stores. Of course, there’s the perfectly toasted and buttered English Muffin. The spicy upgrade? It’s in the new McDonald’s signature Spicy Pepper Sauce.
Another exciting thing about the Spicy McMuffin is that you can choose from three options. The whole summer lineup features the following:
- Spicy Egg McMuffin
- Spicy Sausage McMuffin
- Spicy Sausage McMuffin with Egg
Mark your calendars as McDonald’s will drop these spicy new additions starting July 8, 2025. They will be available at participating restaurants nationwide.

Everything New at McDonald’s
If you’ve been on the loop lately, you’d know that McDonald’s released a ton of new menu items aside from the Snack Wraps. That’s right; there is an exciting July ahead for McDonald’s fans. If you plan to treat yourself after work, you might want to check out the following new releases from the Golden Arch. Come on, you deserve it!
Blueberry & Crème Pie
McDonald’s quietly slipped in a fan-favorite pie for fans this summer. Welcome back the Blueberry & Crème Pie, made with a summer fruit that typically runs from June to August. This treat features a layer of blueberry filling and vanilla-flavored crème that are placed side by side inside a premium flaky crust. They’re available at participating locations for a limited time while supplies last. Unlike other seasonal offerings, this fruity dessert pie doesn’t follow a seasonal schedule.
The Daily Double
Looking for a new burger to indulge in this summer? McDonald’s is releasing a new one featuring two juicy beef patties. It’s none other than The Daily Double, which was previously available in select markets like Chicago, Seattle, and Miami. The Daily Double is now available nationwide through the end of 2025, so don’t miss out. It features two 100% beef patties, along with melty American cheese, silvered onions, shredded lettuce, mayo, and two slices of tomatoes.
Mark your calendars, as beginning July 22, the chain will add The Daily Double as an option in their McValue Meal Deal bundle. They’re priced at $6 or $7, depending on the location where you’ll get them. This exciting deal includes your choice of entrees, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries, plus a small drink.
HERSHEY’S S’mores McFlurry
Up for another dessert? McDonald’s recently dropped their newest McFlurry flavor of HERSHEY’S S’mores McFlurry. It’s inspired by the classic campfire treat, only in a vanilla soft serve base. It blends HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. It’s available for a limited time, so grab this flavor while you still can.
Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal
Let’s move over to McDonald’s newest Happy Meal offering for kids and kids at heart. Last July 1, the chain dropped the new Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal, with each meal having 21 collectible mini toys inspired by what you see at their restaurants. There’s a mini cash register, trays of food, and a delivery truck. The Happy Meal comes with your favorite McOfferings, like your choice of hamburger or chicken nuggets, fries, apple slices, and a kid’s drink.
Another Spicy Drop From Panda Express
If you can’t get enough of summer’s spicy drops, head over to Panda Express as they bring back a fan-favorite. Say hello again to the limited-time Hot Orange Chicken. That’s right, it’s another classic offering upgraded with a spicy kick! It features a bold combination of sweet and fiery flavors from its crushed and dried chilis.
If you haven’t tasted the Hot Orange Chicken yet, expect a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, thanks to the added scoop of dried chili flakes and crushed chilis. This dish will be available on July 9 until September 30, 2025, while supplies last.
Also, prepare for National Orange Chicken Day on July 15, as Panda Express is bringing in a surprise for their classic dish. The Orange Chicken was invented by the brand in 1987, changing American Chinese cuisine forever. Now, are you ready for the surprise? Take note of this: guests who order a plate from 2-4 pm on July 15 – 20 will receive a small entree of The Original Orange Chicken or Hot Orange Chicken. However, they’re only available in-store at Panda Express’ New York City Midtown location, specifically at 835 3rd Avenue.
Cool Off The Heat With These Sweet Treats
Since both McDonald’s and Panda Express’ classic orders are spiced up for the summer, you might want a treat to cool off. It’s a good thing that many stores have released their summer specials to quench your thirst (or satisfy) with something sweet. Check them out:
- Baskin-Robbins’ Sweet on Sydney Menu – In collaboration with actress Sydney Sweeney, Baskin-Robbins is highlighting new menu items of Sydney’s Signature Scoop and Sydney’s Signature Fizz. The scoop features a Rainbow Sherbet in a chocolate-dipped waffle cone with rainbow sprinkles and gummi bears on top. Meanwhile, the fizz combines Rainbow Sherbet with STARRY lemon lime soda and gummi bear minis.
- Dunkin’s Sabrina’s Strawberry Dream Refresher – Yup, there’s another collab with a sweet star, this time it’s Sabrina Carpenter. This Strawberry Dream Refresher features a sweet strawberry flavor with oatmilk and a velvety cloud of cold foam on top.

Since McDonald’s ‘spicyfied’ many of their classic menu items, I’m here for the Spicy McMuffin. While I assumed that the classic menu items may be upgraded for something spicy, I never expected it to be the Spicy McMuffin. I guess McDonald’s really surprises us with something new to offer. I can’t wait to try the Spicy Egg McMuffin when it finally drops on the 8th! Yes, I prefer the Egg McMuffin since I do not like sausages. 🤣
