McDonald’s in Canada prepares to beat the heat with irresistible treats this summer.
Our friends at McDonald’s above the border have been on a roll with their menu releases lately. They have been launching menu items that make us want to be Canadians, even for a single day. Last month, they added new items to their already delicious menu lineup with the launch of Creamy Parmesan & Bacon Quarter Pounder, Passionfruit Orange Guava Real Fruit Smoothie, and spiced up their McShaker Fries with the introduction of Churros and Masala flavors. This June, they are taking summer to another level with the arrival of new treats.
McDonald’s Canada reveals their new Strawberry Cheesecake McFlurry that includes real strawberries in syrup and cheesecake-flavored cookie dough. This new McFlurry seems perfect for summer, but sorry to burst our bubble — it’s only available in Canada.
Besides this sweet treat, McDonald’s Canada is also adding new flavors to its McShaker Fries; they are launching the Tzatziki and Ramen flavors. The Tzatziki McShaker Fries have a distinctly Mediterranean twist with garlic, dill, and mint flavors, while the Ramen McShaker Fries have miso, soy, sesame, cayenne pepper, and chili flavors.
Just like we have it in the US, McD’s McShaker fries in Canada come with medium fries, a seasoning packet, and a bag that you can open and throw everything into so you can give it all a good shake.

Creamy Parmesan & Bacon Quarter Pounder (May 28, 2024)
This new baddie of a Quarter Pounder includes a quarter pound of beef topped with a creamy parmesan and black pepper sauce, hickory-smoked bacon, crispy onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and two slices of processed cheddar cheese. All of these ingredients are served on a toasted sesame seed bun. But that’s not all, there is also a double version available, which has two quarter-pound beef patties for those who have a big appetite for McD’s burger. Canadians can enjoy the new Creamy Parmesan & Bacon Quarter Pounder at participating locations for a limited time.
Passionfruit Orange Guava Real Fruit Smoothie (May 28, 2024)
Released on the same day, McDonald’s new Passionfruit Orange Guava Real Fruit Smoothie is a refreshing drink that can help wash down big bites after you’re done devouring the Creamy Parmesan & Bacon Quarter Pounder. This smoothie combines real guava purée with the flavors of passionfruit and orange, blended with yogurt and ice. You can place an order with or without the yogurt. Similar to the Creamy Parmesan & Bacon Quarter Pounder, the Passionfruit Orange Guava Real Fruit Smoothie is also available for a limited time only.
Churros and Masala McShaker Fries Flavors (May 29, 2024)
Separated by just a day, the new Churros and Masala McShaker Fries Flavors added a spicy finishing touch to McDonald’s menu releases in Canada last May. The Churros flavor is perfect for anyone who loves the classic Spanish dessert; it brings all the signature churros to taste with its sugary, cinnamon blend with the crunchiness and slightly starchy taste of fries. Meanwhile, the Masala flavor takes inspiration from Indian spices; this savory blend adds a layer of exotic flavor that balances both spice and aroma.

We’ve all heard a friend say, “I wish I’m a Canadian” and this is one of the rare times I agree with them. It’s like McDonald’s everywhere around the world has exciting new menu releases, and I can’t help but crave it when I see photos and food reviews on the web. The latest addition to McDonald’s Canadian roster, the Strawberry Cheesecake McFlurry is no exception to the list of desserts I’m craving for. I’ve got a soft spot for strawberry-flavored desserts, and since it’s mixed with Cheesecake-flavored cookie dough, that makes it a hundred times even better. I wish Canada was just a short drive away because if it were, I’d be spending my summer weekends at a McDonald’s there.
