McDonald’s Canada is really going at it with these launches that it sort of makes you feel a little left out here in the U.S. Now the fast food giant up north just launched another shake to add to its growing list of new summer treats, and it’s creating quite the buzz among McDonald’s fans.
In this new limited-time release, Canada gets a first taste of McDonald’s new Orange Cream Pop Shake, which features a creamy blend of orange and vanilla, fitting right into the popular orange creamsicle trend here in America. At this point, we’re really hoping that all of these releases are actually hints that these are all eventually coming stateside.
What Fans Are Saying
U.S. fans definitely agree that McDonald’s Orange Cream Pop Shake should get an American release. However, there are some who have expressed skepticism regarding the flavor, with comments saying that the shake might end up tasting like medicine.
While it’s true that citrus flavors tend to carry an artificial and almost medicinal taste, it would be safe to assume that the vanilla present in the cream part should bring a balance to the overall taste of the shake. Then again, we would have to have a U.S. release first to confirm this.
Will the US Get a Taste?
It’s tough being a fan in the US and seeing all of these Canadian menu releases. While there’s no official word yet on whether McDonald’s will do a U.S. introduction for the Orange Cream Pop Shake, the brand is known to often use its international markets to test out new products first. So, there’s always a chance these tasty treats could eventually cross the border. In the meantime, we can admire from afar and hope that McDonald’s US hears our pleas for a taste of the Orange Cream Pop Shake.

The Orange Creamsicle Trend
The new Canadian release of the Orange Cream Pop Shake takes inspiration from the classic orange-flavored creamsicle ice cream treat. The start of the summer season naturally brings about this trend due to the flavor’s strong connection to people’s childhoods. Just imagining the classic flavors of creamy vanilla and tangy orange swirled together in a frosty shake is enough to give you flashbacks. It’s no surprise that this icy beverage is generating serious FOMO (fear of missing out) among those of us who don’t live in Canada.

Three Throwback McNugget Sauces: Canada also gets to enjoy three returning McNugget dips: Garlic Parmesan, Jalapeno Cheddar, and Szechuan Sauce.
Two New Shakes: Now the limited-time Orange Cream Pop Shake joins the Purple Grimace Shake as the newest addition to this expanding list of items that we hope to see in the U.S.
So, while US fans eagerly anticipate the coming of these treats, monitoring McDonald’s Canada’s new items can give a glimpse of what might be to come.

From The Club
I think I might cry if McDonald’s Canada comes out with another exclusive item. The FOMO is real and I don’t like it. Some friends in Canada have tried the Ramen flavored McShaker Fries and now I need to try it too. I wonder if it tastes like the spicy seasoning packets used for instant ramen but instead of noodles, it’s sprinkled on fries! McDonald’s needs to hurry up and bring these goodies to America because it’s starting to feel a little unfair.
