As of 2023, McDonald’s has 41,822 locations worldwide, a testament to their power for being the world’s biggest fast food chain. But as the saying goes, “With great power comes great responsibility.”, Golden Arches must always keep up with the demand and provide great customer service in all of their 40,000+ stores. Plus, McDonald’s should always be at the top of their game, releasing and introducing new products that customers will love in each country they are in. Day in and day out, no matter what the season is, McDonald’s should always have something new in-store, so customers will always say “I’m loving it.”
During this peak of summer, McDonald’s is also at the peak of their game, releasing new treats in the U.S. and in some of their locations worldwide. McDonald’s keeps the heat going this summer with their newly launched treats, but there’s a catch; each treat is only available at a particular location. Worry not, let’s see if there’s a new treat you can try at a McDonald’s near you.
First off the bat, McDonald’s USA has introduced the Biscoff McFlurry, but it’s only available at one location. The international headquarters restaurant located in Chicago, IL, specifically the 1035 W. Randolph location, is now serving this unique dessert, which recently gained popularity in Belgium. The Biscoff McFlurry consists of a vanilla soft serve blended with Biscoff cookies and a drizzle of caramel sauce. A true and ideal summer treat to beat this scorching heat.
McDonald’s USA is expected to have the Biscoff McFlurry on the menu for about six to eight weeks, in line with McDonald’s typical menu rotations. Biscoff being a popular dessert item, of course fans are eager to see it become available nationwide. Some even suggested that it would be even better with a cookie butter sauce instead of the caramel.
If you’re not anywhere near Chicago, will be flying out for a last-minute summer Parisian getaway, or will be supporting Team USA in the Paris Olympics, then you’re in luck! McDonald’s has introduced a new Global Menu featuring items from various countries, but it’s only available in France until September 2, 2024, during the Olympics. Here are some of the exciting offerings:
- The Maple BBQ Quarter Pounder from Canada
- The Greek Mac from Cyprus
- The Filet-O-Fish Deluxe from New Zealand
- Garlic Sauce from the United Kingdom
- Szechuan Sauce from the United States
- Coca-Cola McFloat from the Philippines
- McFlurry Popcorn Caramel from Indonesia

More Upcoming Releases at McDonald’s
Summer is the hottest season and while there are some breaks in school and life in general, McDonald’s didn’t take a pause and was on a roll with their recent product tests. Let’s take a quick trip over the past month and see what McDonald’s had up their sleeves.
- McDonald’s Big Arch: Rumor has it that McDonald’s has been developing a burger that promises to match and even exceed the Big Mac’s size and value. This new burger is officially named the Big Arch, featuring two beef patties, melting cheese, crispy toppings, and a tangy new sauce. It definitely has all the makings of a future classic.
- McCrispy Chicken Strips: McDonald’s also confirmed that they are testing McCrispy Chicken Strips in select locations for a limited time. These are essentially chicken tenders but made with the same seasoned chicken filet used in the typical McCrispy.

I love how McDonald’s does their own research and surprises us with new food items every month and every season. Since we’re also talking about McDonald’s USA, I really hope they will soon release the Biscoff McFlurry nationwide, that sweet baddie deserves to be introduced to the rest of America and we’ll really give it a warm welcome this summer. With the rest of the Global Menu in France, I’ve got my eyes on the Coca-Cola McFloat from the Philippines, that seems like a delicious menu hack that came to life. But to be honest, I’d love to see them all in McDonald’s USA locations!
