McDonald’s Is Bringing Back a Fan-Favorite Menu Item
McDonald’s has always been a go-to spot for quick and tasty food. We love our favorites, and it’s a bummer when they disappear from the menu. Four years ago, fans were upset when McDonald’s stopped serving their bagel breakfast sandwiches. The love for these sandwiches was so strong that fans made groups online to share their disappointment and hope for a comeback.
The Return of the Bagel Breakfast Sandwiches
Good news for those fans: the Bagel Breakfast Sandwich is making a return! People have excitedly reported that they’ve seen these sandwiches again at some McDonald’s. Places like New Orleans, Georgia, Arkansas, southern California, central Pennsylvania, St. Louis, Nashville, and central New Jersey are serving them up. After checking with McDonald’s USA, we’ve learned that these sandwiches are indeed coming back in certain areas for now.
What’s in a McDonald’s Breakfast Bagel?
If you haven’t tried one, here’s the scoop. McDonald’s offers their bagels in three tasty options: bacon, egg, and cheese; sausage, egg, and cheese; and steak, egg, and cheese. Each sandwich comes with a toasted bagel with butter, a folded egg, American cheese, and the choice of breakfast meat. The steak option also gives you grilled onions as a tasty extra.
These bagel sandwiches briefly showed up again after being discontinued but only for a short time in select places like Chicago, New York City, and Washington, D.C., in November of 2022. Prices may vary by location this time around, and while some fans say the steak variety might cost a bit more, you’ll have to check your local McDonald’s to see if they have them and how much they cost.
If you’re excited to try these breakfast options, you might want to hurry. We’re not sure if this comeback is for good or just for a short time. As a fan on social media put it, they’ve been waiting years for this return!
