Welcome to another round of new fast food upgrades. This time, we’re featuring a new menu from Applebee’s plus a spicy new upgrade at your favorite Jersey Mike’s Subs. But if you want to spend an evening at home, Carnegie Deli will bring its specialties to your kitchen. If these sound like something that you’ll enjoy, then read along.
Applebee’s
Missing New Orleans? Don’t worry; Applebee’s is bringing its flavors to their restaurant for you to enjoy! They’re introducing the new Big Easy Menu, which features classic fan favorites and new menu items like the Andouille Sausage Penne paired with Bourbon Street Chicken or Blackened Shrimp. They’ve been available on the menu since February 18, 2025, so catch them while they’re still cooking at an Applebee’s near you.
Here’s the complete Big Easy Menu, plus their flavor profiles:
- Bourbon Street Chicken & Andouille Sausage Penne – This new menu item features penne pasta with creamy Cajun Alfredo sauce and topped with Bourbon Street Chicken. This dish is seared with slices of Andouille Sausage plus seasoned bell peppers and onions.
- Blackened Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Penne – It features a sauteed blackened shrimp that is paired together with some seared slices of Andouille Sausage that are seasoned with bell peppers and onions, all smothered with Cajun Alfredo sauce for some creaminess.
The Bourbon Street Chicken & Andouille Sausage Penne has a suggested price of $11.99, while the Blackened Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Penne carries a suggested price of $13.99. They’re available at participating Applebee’s restaurants with prices varying depending on the location.
But wait, that’s not all, as participating Applebee’s locations are also expanding the brand’s popular chicken sandwich lineup. Say hello to the new Spicy Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich, which features a crispy-fried chicken breast that is topped with two strips of Applewood-smoked bacon, shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles, all smothered with spicy honey mustard and placed in a Brioche bun.

Carnegie Deli
From New Orleans, we’re flying to New York to get a taste of their famous deli sandwiches, and there’s no other place to get them than Carnegie Deli. The legendary New York delicatessen is thrilled to launch their first-ever Pastrami and Corned Beef Combo Pack, which will be available exclusively at select Costco locations in the Northeast beginning in early March. Expect a 1.5 lb pack that will bring you the authentic taste of Carnegie’s world-famous deli meats if you’re a Costco member. This combo meat pack is priced at $17.99.
The Pre-Sliced Corned Beef & Pastrami Combo Pack features the famous deli’s signature New York Pastrami that is brined, seasoned, and smoked using a family-secret recipe. On the other hand, the Cooked Corned Beef is cured and simmered until the meat becomes tender and juicy. These premium meats are perfect for people on the go as they’ve been pre-sliced for your convenience, making it easy to recreate Carnegie Deli’s sandwiches in the comfort of your own home.
Now, why is Carnegie Deli a true New York icon? It was founded in 1937 and has been well-loved by New Yorkers and celebrities. The place is known for their gargantuan sandwiches, premium smoked and cured meats, potato knishes, and their creamy cheesecake. The exciting partnership with Costco marks a milestone for the brand as more people from the U.S. can taste this New York delicacy.
Sarri Harper, CEO of Carnegie Deli, said that the partnership allows them to share the authentic Carnegie Deli experience with a wider audience. It introduces new customers to the flavors that the deli boasts. The brand believes that Costco members will get to appreciate the quality, convenience, and value that the combo meat pack will bring.
The Pre-Sliced Corned Beef & Pastrami Combo Pack is currently available at 50 Costco locations across the following places:
- Connecticut
- Washington D.C.
- Maryland
- Maine
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
If you’re far from these listed places, don’t worry, as Carnegie Deli and Costco are planning to add the product to additional stores and regions. This is actually the first time that the deli place has offered their pastrami and corned beef combination in retail. While other Carnegie Deli products are available at national grocery chains, this exclusive pack is available at select Costco stores only.

Are you ready for a spicy new upgrade? Jersey Mike’s Subs are known for their fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, and now, they’re offering a sweet heat to their sub sandwiches with the limited-time addition of Mike’s Hot Honey – Extra Hot. You can give your subs a sweet and spicy upgrade now in all Jesey Mike’s Subs’ locations. It doesn’t matter whether you get their hot or cold subs, as you can glaze it with this exciting new add-on.
Looking for a more spicy sub-approach? Jersey Mike’s insiders know the power to make your subs extra hot, and it’s no other than adding a little Hot Chopped Pepper Relish and Chipotle Mayo.
What is Mike’s Hot Honey Condiments?
Now, what makes Mike’s Hot Honey – Extra Hot special? Well, the add-on appeared on “What’s Hot 2025 Culinary Forecast” from the National Restaurant Association. Also, it has the same sweet-heat combo that you love from the original hot honey sauce, but this time, it’s made even spicier, which will give a new experience for fans. It’s made out of 100% pure honey infused with chilis.
Mike’s Hot Honey, both the classic and extra hot, is best enjoyed when you drizzle them with any meal. What’s great about this sweet hot sauce is that it’s created with all-natural chili-infused honey with no preservatives and artificial sugar added. Not only is Mike’s Hot Honey a paleo-friendly condiment, but it’s also gluten-free. While they’re an add-on at Jersey Mike’s Subs and other restaurants, the sauce itself is available to purchase at stores nationwide and on the website.

Woohoo! We’re getting a ton of exciting new menu items and upgrades from our favorite chains. I’m really excited about Applebee’s new Big Easy Menu as I plan to get the Blackened Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Penne. As for Carnegie Deli, I’m excited to taste authentic New York pastrami meat, and I also love having corned beef for breakfast, so I guess this combo meat pack is a win-win for me. Also, Jersey Mike’s Subs is a genius for adding Mike’s Hot Honey – Extra Hot to their subs, as I believe it will add flavor. Overall, I’d say we get a pretty good lineup in store for all of us.
