Hello spring and hello seasonal menu items! We’ve been anticipating the warmer days and what better way to celebrate them than with new flavors that will have you spring forward? Get ready for more fish sandwiches and other seafood delights, as well as new drinks that will refresh and excite your taste buds. Spring is also sweeter this time around, and that’s because there are new desserts in town! Let’s take a closer look at what’s blooming on the spring menus of top restaurants.
Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A is welcoming the spring season with a returning sandwich and new drinks with vibrant, refreshing flavors. Starting March 17, the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich will be back on the menus nationwide, this time with three new customization options. Pair that with any of the new Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages, also available at participating Chick-fil-A locations nationwide for a limited time.
Let’s talk about the sandwich first. This spring, the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich will have three fillet options that you can choose from: original, spicy, and classic grilled fillet. On a toasted buttery bun, your preferred chicken is layered with crispy bacon hand-tossed in a blend of brown sugar and black pepper, Colby Jack cheese, smoky BBQ sauce, and green leaf lettuce.

Adding a sweet and refreshing balance to this sandwich are the new Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages from Chick-fil-A, each one featuring the combination of juicy pineapple and tropical dragonfruit flavors. Here’s the complete beverage lineup:
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Frosted Lemonade – In this drink, Chick-fil-A® Lemonade or Diet Lemonade meets the signature Icedream® dessert, and then mixed with natural dragonfruit and pineapple flavors.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Lemonade – This menu item features a combination of Lemonade or Diet Lemonade and natural flavors from pineapple and dragonfruit.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Iced Tea – For this drink, freshly brewed blend of tea leaves gets mixed with natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors for that fruity twist.
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Sunjoy® – This menu item combines Chick-fil-A’s Sunjoy® beverage (Lemonade and freshly brewed Sweetened Iced Tea) with the natural flavors of dragonfruit and pineapple.
According to Chick-fil-A’s Director of Menu & Packaging, Allison Duncan, guests have started looking for flavors reminiscent of long, warmer days and time spent outside with loved ones, and so the brand is excited to expand its menu with the returning Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and fresh new drinks. Freddy’s

Freddy’s, the restaurant you know and love for cooked-to-order steakburgers, frozen custard, and shoestring fries, unveiled a bigger and better menu this spring. In response to the current preferences of their guests, the brand is introducing 10 permanent menu additions, and these include new frozen custard treats, side items, and previously limited-time offerings.
Let’s start off with the new items on the menu, satisfying both your sweet and salty cravings:
- Cold Brew Caramel Crunch – Your favorite cold brew coffee is now in a delectable dessert, combined with vanilla custard, chopped Heath® bar, and then finished off with caramel sauce and whipped topping. This item is available as a shake or concrete.
- Reese’s® Royale – Fans of peanut butter cups, this one’s for you! Enjoy a blend of vanilla custard, Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups, Reese’s® Peanut Butter Sauce, finished with whipped cream and a cherry.
- OREO® Double Trouble – For a chocolatey treat, grab this dessert made with vanilla custard, double portion of OREO cookies, topped with whipped cream and even more OREO.
- Strawberry Dreamcake – This dreamy dessert features vanilla custard, diced strawberries, New York-style cheesecake, cinnamon streusel, finished off with whipped topping and even more crunchy streusel.
- Freddy’s Kettle Chips – To satisfy your salty cravings, grab these crispy kettle-cooked potato chips, flavored with Freddy’s Fry Seasoning.
There are also menu additions that are back by popular demand. Yup, these are the items that guests can’t stop talking about:
- Grilled Cheese Steakburger – Two classic favorites combine in this new item made with two steakburger patties and two slices each of American and Swiss cheese. These are layered on a buttery Texas toast, along with crispy bacon and a savory tomato spread, recreating the feeling of dipping your grilled cheese in tomato soup.
- Prime Rib Steakburger – This menu item features two steakburger patties stacked with thinly-sliced prime rib, layered with melty Swiss cheese, sauteed portobello mushrooms, and grilled onions on a toasted bun with garlic aioli.
- Tots – These tots are pre-seasoned with Freddy’s Fry Seasoning, available in kids, regular, and large sizes.
- Lemon Cream Frost – This beverage combines vanilla frozen custard with all-natural lemonade, finished with whipped topping.
- Orange Cream Frost – This beverage combines vanilla frozen custard with lemonade and orange cream powder, topped with whipped cream.
- The Peanut Butter Bananza – Formerly known as PBC&B, this item is made with vanilla custard, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and bananas, finished off with whipped cream and a cherry.
According to Freddy’s, the Grilled Cheese Steakburger and Prime Rib Steakburger were the brand’s most loved limited-time offerings, so it’s a step in the right direction to bring them back, not just for the fans but also for franchisees. As per the brand, early indicators show that franchisees can expect higher traffic and transaction values with the return of popular, high-demand items. Meanwhile, the addition of tots, new potato chips, and a lineup of frozen desserts will offer guests more variety and flavors to crave.
Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

This menu features seafood favorites and fresh-baked treats, perfect for satisfying your cravings this Lent. Starting at only $9.99, you can enjoy delectable dishes like Hibachi Grilled Shrimp Skillet, Crispy Cod Sandwich, and Blackened Roasted Salmon, all made with bold flavors and great value in mind.
