Well, March went by so fast! And that means a fresh wave of mouthwatering menu releases is coming. Whether you’re looking for something spicy and savory for a meal or fizzy, refreshing beverages to cool down, new menu releases this April are sure to hit the spot. Ready for a flavor-packed month? Let’s get into it!
Buona’s Spring Menu Items
Add a bit of sunshine and spice to your dining experience when you drop by Buona, the restaurant behind Chicago’s original Italian beef. The brand just dropped two new menu items for Spring, now available in-store, online, and via the Buona app. Say hello to Buona Hot Chicken and Mediterranean Chicken Salad! Here’s everything we know about these menu releases:
- Buona Hot Chicken – This one is actually a returning item that’s been brough back due to high demand. It features a perfectly crispy breaded chicken breast, marinated in Nashville hot sauce and topped with Buona’s signature sweet and tangy Buona sauce plus crisp pickles. All these are served on a toasty, buttered brioche bun. If you’re looking for something with a spicy kick (but not too much), this is the one!
- Mediterranean Chicken Salad – Meanwhile, for a light yet satisfying meal, you can’t go wrong with this new menu item. The protein-rich salad features six ounces of grilled chicken in a lettuce blend with kalamata olives, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, red onions, and feta cheese. The salad is served with Buona’s signature house dressing.
With the release of these two menu items, the brand remains true to its philosophy of “keeping it fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.” The new items also add more variety to the menu and cater to the guests’ cravings for trending flavors.
Chick-fil-A’s Icedream Treats and Frosted Sodas
In case you missed it: Chick-fil-A introduced new Icedream Treats called the Icedream Spin and Icedream Floats! These treats are part of a limited-time test at participating restaurants in three markets: Chicago, San Diego, and Tampa, Florida. The new Icedream treats will be available until April 12, 2025. After that, we’ll see if they’re going to make it through a nationwide release.
So, what exactly are these Icedream treats? Well, both features Chick-fil-A’s iconic Icedream dessert but they have different textures. The Icedream Spin has a creamy, delicious taste, hand-spun with your choice of fountain beverage. Meanwhile, the Icedream Float is like a traditional float, made with your choice of drink and a swirl of Icedream.
What if your location doesn’t offer these new treats? There’s another option you could try: Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Sodas! To be clear, these are off-menu items but there are plenty of locations that have been offering them in the last few months. Frosted sodas are basically a hand-spun combination of Icedream and your choice of soda. Some of the popular flavors include:
- Frosted HI-C Fruit Punch

- Frosted Powerade
- Frosted Dr. Pepper

Jimmy John’s T.H.C. Bag
Jimmy John’s is not only known for its “freaky good” sandwiches but also for its iconic 4/20 celebration. This year, the brand has a new limited-time offer to celebrate the highest of the unofficial holidays: the Toasted Hot Combo Box, also called the T.H.C. Box! Get toasted in more ways than one with this meal that features the following:
- Jimmy John’s new, crispy, and gooey Toasted Sandwiches
- Any flavor of Jimmy Chips
- Your choice of sweet treat
- A crisp Jimmy Pickle spear
The T.H.C. Box allows endless customizations, and customers can mix and match their preferred salty and sweet flavors. The limited-time meal will be available at Jimmy John’s locations nationwide beginning April 7, while supplies last.
As for the brand’s new toasted sandwiches, there are three new options up for grabs: Chicken Bacon Ranch, the Ultimate Italian, and Roast Beef & Cheddar.

New and Returning Fast Food Items to Try this April
In the last days of March, pizza wars sparked between Little Caesars and Pizza Hut, and by that mean, we mean both brands unveiled menu items that are causing a frenzy among pizza lovers. Additionally, the fast food value game is on, and we’ve seen some of the biggest chains release new meal deals that will make your wallets cheer. And yes, you can still grab them this April!
- Little Caesars’ Pretzel Crust Pizza – Pretzel or pizza? Why not have both? The Pretzel Crust Pizza is back at Little Caesars, and it’s returning with a new twist: Stuffed Pretzel Crust Pizza! This is a new way to experience the classic pretzel crust, now baked with gooey, melty cheese inside. To add more novelty, you can also swap the pizza cheese sauce with marinara.
- Pizza Hut’s Cheesy Bites Pizza – Over at Pizza Hut, the Cheesy Bites Pizza is also back! This is the one with pull-apart cheesy bites for a crust, made for dunking, dipping, and sharing. And speaking of dipping, Pizza Hut dropped a new offering: The Ranch Lover’s Flight. This is a trio of new dipping sauces that include Chipotle Ranch, Pepperoni Ranch, and the Ultimate Ranch.
- KFC’s $10 Tuesday Deal – Here’s another returning offer, but this time it’s a fast food deal. Every Tuesday at KFC, you can score a bucket of eight fried chicken (a mix of thighs and drums) for just $10. The offer is available in-restaurant, online, and via the KFC app.
- McDonald’s $6 Daily Double Meal Deal – Even more affordable is the new meal deal from McDonald’s. For only $6, you can get a Daily Double burger, small fries, 6 pieces of chicken nuggets, and a drink of your choice. Available for a limited time at participating locations.
