This time, they’re bringing back a spicy menu item turned fan-favorite.
Last year, I’m sure you can recall that Panda Express teamed up with Hot Ones to launch a spicy new item called the Blazing Bourbon Chicken. This dish became popular thanks to its Taiwanese origins, mixed with a spicy kick of the hot sauce used in the “Hot Ones” show. Now, Panda Express and Hot Ones have joined forces, once again, to bring back the Blazing Bourbon Chicken to all Panda Express locations nationwide, starting September 4, 2024.
Fans can expect that the Blazing Bourbon Chicken still includes crispy boneless chicken pieces, fresh vegetables, plus a sweet yet spicy bourbon sauce, thanks to the famed Hot Ones Last Dab Apollo hot sauce. Each serving is complete with sesame seeds toppings, which adds a nice crunch. Last year, it received positive feedback because despite its spicy flavor, guests can still enjoy every serving, especially when it’s paired with rice.
If you’re a spicy lover but haven’t tried the Blazing Bourbon Chicken last year, September is a perfect time to taste Panda Express’ spiciest dish ever. Customers even dubbed it as a favorite and even shared their love for the dish on social media.

Released last May, Panda Express’ Hot Orange Chicken takes a spicy twist to their fan favorite and menu staple, the Orange Chicken. As the name suggests, it’s got all the flavors that fans are looking for- spicy, savory, and tangy.
The new Hot Orange Chicken features the same chili peppers the restaurant uses on their Kung Pao Chicken, so you know it’s going to be just as good and spicy. Though this dish was just released last May, we are still hoping it’ll be a permanent addition to their menu alongside the Blazing Bourbon Chicken.
