Papa John’s is saying goodbye to a fan-favorite item. But the good news is, they’re replacing it with something even better!
When you think about Papa John’s, you think about their pizza. They’ve been in the game for nearly 40 years! And in that span of time, they’ve come up with some of the best and most well-known menu items in the world of fast food. One of their more popular menu items is their Chicken Poppers. These were bite-sized pieces of all-white chicken breast that were lightly breaded and oven baked to crisp perfection. They were essentially their take on chicken nuggets. As popular as they were, Papa John’s decided to shelve them for the time being in favor of a brand-new bite-sized chicken menu item that just might be better.
Papa John’s is removing Chicken Poppers from their menu and replacing them with their new Boneless Wings. At first glance, you may think that these new Boneless Wings are pretty much the same as the Chicken Poppers. But take one bite of the new Boneless Wings and the comparison goes out the window. The Boneless Wings are coated in a fine crunchy breading that’s seasoned with savory garlic and parmesan flavors. While they both feature all-white chicken meat, they each have their own distinct flavor profile and texture. In short, the Boneless Wings are bigger and better tasting than the Chicken Poppers.
The Boneless Wings are now available at participating Papa John’s locations nationwide. You can get them with your choice of dipping sauce from the following flavors: Hot Lemon Pepper, Buffalo, BBQ, and Honey Chipotle. You can also get them “unsauced” if you prefer. These Boneless Wings can be ordered in 10, 15, or 30 piece orders with prices starting at $8 but the price may vary depending on the location.
If you miss the Chicken Poppers, don’t worry; they’re still available at some Papa John’s locations. They’ll continue to serve them until they run out of supplies.

When I first heard about the Chicken Poppers was being removed from Papa John’s menu, I was pretty upset. I mean, their Chicken Poppers has been a classic side dish at this point and I really can’t imagine not having them whenever I eat at Papa John’s. But then, I had a chance to try their new Boneless Wings. And that first bite just blew me away. This just might be better than the Chicken Poppers.
