Papa Johns is bringing back a fan-favorite pizza that over 500,000 fans from last year have begged for!
Yup, that’s right! McDonald’s isn’t the only chain bringing back their Snack Wraps, as Papa Johns is also bringing back a limited-time special. While they differ entirely from tortilla-wrapped chicken fingers, they combine two craveable fast food items: pizza and cheeseburger! You’re right if you guessed the comeback menu item to be the Cheesy Burger Pizza. According to our food friends, they’re speculated to drop via the app on June 30, while it might make its full nationwide rollout by July 7th.
The Cheesy Burger Pizza became a fan favorite since it features the brand’s never-frozen dough with a signature burger sauce. It’s topped with a generous selection of beef, tomato, dill pickle, and real cheese that’s made from mozzarella. It comes with a cup of Special Garlic Sauce and pepperoncini to make it even more flavorful. While there’s no official announcement from Papa Johns yet, this is what we know of its features that have been a seasonal menu item of the brand for years.
Last year, Papa Johns even offered a large Cheesy Burger Pizza for only $10 for the first 500,000 customers. While it’s too early to say whether the brand will also provide the same or a different deal, we’re crossing our fingers that they will! The price of the Cheesy Burger Pizza from last year is around $4.99 to $6.99, respectively. Until then, all we have to do is wait for their official announcement.

Papa Johns has been doing amazing with the releases that they have for 2025! For the most recent scoop, Papa Johns is causing serious FOMOS for fans in the U.S. Why? Well, the chain just dropped the all-new Croissant Pizza in their locations overseas. While first appearing in the UAE, they’re making a complete rollout in nine markets: Korea, China, Chile, and Peru.
According to the brand, the Croissant Pizza features a “buttery, braided, and flaky crust.” Diners can customize them with their choice of toppings to create their very own flavor combo. What’s great about this new Croissant Pizza is that it’s a step towards their discovery of global food culture. They’re inspired by the trending croissant mashups like the “cronut” and “crookie,” according to their SVP Managing Director of International, Chris Lyn-Sue.
Together with this exciting new innovation, Papa Johns partnered with fashion disruptor KidSuper to design a hot bag that’s highly inspired by the new Croissant Pizza. How? Well, the creativity behind this bag design lies in the woven strap, just like the pizza’s tightly braided crust. Also, the zipper curves in a crescent shape, and the soft edges mimic the fluffy folds of the pastry.
The fashionable hot bag will debut at the Paris Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway show later this month. Not only that, the Papa Johns x KidSuper Hot Bag will also show up in exhibitions and beaches from select markets. Watch out, as you might be the lucky customer to get to see your pizza order inside the custom bag in those areas.
Other Releases Available To You
As we await the Cheesy Burger Pizza and the U.S. release (hopefully) of the Croissant Pizza, let’s check out the new Papa Johns menu items available at your nearest Papa Johns locations. First up, we’ve got the new Cheddar Crust Pizza available for a limited time. It’s made from a blend of aged cheddar cheese and garlic and herb seasoning that’s baked onto the edge of the brand’s Original Crust. Along with cheesy crust pizza, you can also get the new Cheddar Cheesesticks, which are made with a 10-inch round of hand-tossed dough topped with seasoned cheddar cheese and baked to perfection.
The price for the Cheddar Crust Pizza with one topping is $12.99, while the Cheddar Cheesesticks are priced at $9.19. However, note that prices may differ per location.
The new flavor crust and cheesesticks aren’t the only new releases available on the Papa Johns menu, as they’re bringing back the Shaq-a-Roni Pizza for a limited time. The flavor was made and named after Shaquille O’Neal, an NBA basketball legend and the chain’s franchisee. In case you aren’t familiar with it, the Shaq-a-Roni Pizza is an extra-large pizza with half a pound of cheese and extra pepperoni.
If you’re wondering, the Shaq-a-Roni Pizza has more pepperoni than the chain’s Large 1-Topping Pizza. Also, you can customize it the way you want to enjoy your pizza. Add in more toppings or request to remove some to suit your taste or dietary preferences.
How About Some Pasta?
Some people enjoy their pizzas together with pasta. If you’re one of those or think it seems like a great idea, check out this Noodles & Company collaboration with Food Network. These pasta dishes are handpicked by Food Network, which the brand calls “Food Network Favorites.” Take your pick from the following:
- Basil Pesto Cavatappi – This fan-favorite is made even better with the addition of more of its signature basil pesto sauce. There’s also more of fire-roasted tomatoes and aged Parmesan to make the flavor richer.
- Buffalo Chicken Ranch Mac & Cheese – Features some elbow noodles smothered in creamy cheddar and jack cheese sauce. The pasta is also topped with Parmesan chicken, Buffalo sauce, green onions, crispy onions, plus a drizzle of ranch.
- Rigatoni Rosa with Parmesan Chicken – This pasta dish is reimagined with “heartier” rigatoni noodles, smothered in richer, spicy tomato cream sauce. There’s also slow-roasted tomatoes and 18-month aged Parmesan.
- Lemon Garlic Shrimp Scampi – Features fettuccine noodles in garlic butter sauce. There’s also some sautéed shrimp, cherry tomatoes, spinach, artichoke hearts, and lemon.
