Who says the fall season is only limited to pumpkin spice?
It’s about to get cheesy and melty with Perkins American Food Co.’s new menu lineup for the fall season, and it’s not pumpkin spice.
Perkins American Food Co. is excited to introduce the NEW Mega Melts, designed for cheese lovers and fans of the restaurant. Starting September 4, guests can visit participating Perkins locations to enjoy these massive and cheesy sandwiches, starting at $11.99.
Guests can expect that each Mega Melt features layers of premium meats, high-quality ingredients, and plenty of melted cheese. They have the option to choose from a variety of sides and enjoy dipping sauces such as Homestyle Ranch, Creamy Chipotle Ranch, and a special secret sauce. But, if you’re looking for something fresh, Perkins also launched a Kale Apple Walnut Salad with seasonal ingredients that capture the essence of fall.
Mindy Armstrong, the VP of Menu Innovation, describes the Mega Melts as a modern take on classic favorites, with generous amounts of quality ingredients, which promises to leave guests feeling satisfied.
Here’s a look at the Mega Melts lineup:
- Buffalo Chicken Melt: Your favorite grilled sourdough melt is layered with buffalo-infused crispy chicken tenders, crispy Applewood smoked bacon, coleslaw, sliced Pepper Jack, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Of course, it’s served with Ranch dressing for dipping.
- The Hangover Melt: Starting off with a grilled sourdough bread dipped in French toast batter and this packs a lot with layers of hearty sausage, crispy Applewood smoked bacon, fluffy scrambled egg, crunchy tots, sliced Cheddar, and shredded mozzarella cheese. You’ll also get this served with a maple syrup dipping sauce.
- Grilled Steak Melt: Get your flavor kick with grilled sourdough bread layered with shaved rib-eye steak, sliced cheddar and shredded mozzarella cheese, spicy jalapeños, green bell pepper and yellow onion. You can enjoy it with Chipotle Ranch sauce for dipping.
- The O.G. Melt: Enjoy it classic with the O.G. Melt. Get three slices of grilled Vienna bread layer with two 100% Angus beef patties, sliced Cheddar cheese, sauteed sweet onions, and the signature Perkins secret sauce.You can also get it served with extra secret sauce as dip.
- Kale Apple Walnut Salad: Jump on the healthy side with a serving of fresh kale, shredding cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced apples, walnuts, craisins, and creamy goat cheese. Apple cider vinaigrette is also tossed on these ingredients for more flavor.
That’s not all. Perkins is also launching the NEW Caramel Apple Crisper, which combines sweet caramel and tart apples in a crispy crust. The restaurant is also bringing back its beloved Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Mammoth Muffin, perfect for guests who want to get a taste of pumpkin spice.

I just love how some restaurants don’t ride the bandwagon of all-things pumpkin spice for fall. Instead they break it. That’s why I’m also loving how Perkins goes all cheesy and melty with their Mega Melts lineup, ohh we all need a dose of cheese once in a while, and Perkins makes sure we get our cheese fix while also offering a side of Pumpkin Pie this fall.
