Pickle me this, pickle me that! Isn’t it a bit late for a pickle joke?
It’s a good thing Popeyes isn’t pulling any pranks for pickle fans, as they really released their new Pickle Menu yesterday (April 1, 2025)!
You may remember Popeyes posting a video a week ago about a lemonade and pickle juice mix with the date “4.1.25” written on the caption. We don’t blame you for not believing, as who would drop a unique menu lineup on April Fools Day, right? But all it actually takes is a trip to your nearest Popeyes to know that the Pickle Menu does exist!
Meet the Popeyes Pickle Menu:

- Pickle Glaze Sandwich – Looking for a twist to your Popeyes Chicken Sandwich? Get this pickle glaze option, as it features a crispy, hand-battered chicken that is coated in pickle glaze. It is topped with even more thick-cut pickles and served on a toasted brioche bun.
- Pickle Glaze Bone-In Wings – This unique flavored bone-in wings is made for pickle fans. It features Popeyes’ signature bone-in wings that are tossed in tangy pickle glaze.
- Pickle Glaze Boneless Wings – Prefer your wings boneless? You can still get the tangy pickle glaze in them. These tender and hand-battered boneless wings are drenched in pickle glaze for your enjoyment.
- Fried Pickles – Craving for the real thing? You can get your pickles as crispy and golden brown fried. They’re battered in Popeyes’ signature seasoning and fried until golden brown. They’re served with a side of creamy ranch dipping sauce.
- Pickle Lemonade – Here’s a drink pickle lovers didn’t know they needed. This refreshing lemonade drink is infused with real pickle juice. It’s a unique combination that pairs well with any Popeyes menu item.
If you’re from or around New York, you might want to visit Popeyes’ flagship restaurant in Times Square, as it has been turned green from top to bottom in honor of the Pickle Menu release. There’s even an ASMR booth created to capture Popeyes’ crunch.

Behind The Pickle Craze
The Pickle Menu is more than just a joke that you won’t fall for on April Fools Day. It’s a culinary creation by Popeyes’ team. While the brand is thinking about their next kitchen innovation, they thought of their line of “No One Chickens Like Us and No One Pickles Like Popeyes.”
Since the brand is known for being flavorful and big when it comes to their chicken, they created the pickle-inspired menu for a full-on pickle takeover of their brand. They took the “No One Pickles Like Us” line seriously and applied it in everything that they could.
From the brand’s world-famous Chicken Sandwich, they got creative and packed each of their classic menu items with a little pickle. What started out as an April Fools Day gimmick will turn into a craze deserving of its own menu lineup!
Chef Amy Alarcon, VP of Culinary at Popeyes, said that they are pickle people at Popeyes, so they truly understand that there can never be enough pickles. They created it to ensure that each menu item has a crisp texture and vibrant acidity, beaming with world-famous Louisiana flavors in every bite.

New Releases For April

It’s just the start of the month, yet we’re already getting all of the best menu items that our favorite fast food places have to offer. If you’re looking for a new meal to try out, then here’s what we’ve got so far.
- Little Caesars Pretzel Crust Pizza – This fan-favorite pizza was brought back to the Little Caesars menu on the last day of March. It features a soft, buttery pretzel crust that is topped with some cheddar cheese sauce and a blend of mozzarella and Muenster cheeses. For a finishing touch, the pizza is sprinkled with cheddar cheese.
- Whataburger’s Mushroom Swiss Burger – You may have remembered this burger from three years ago. Yesterday, it finally dropped at Whataburger, which got fans excited. This burger features grilled patties, melty Swiss cheese, some creamy au jus sauce, and grilled mushrooms.
- Taco Bell’s Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas – This fan-favorite menu item was actually a merge between past favorites of the Toasted Cheese Chalupa from 2019 and the Cheesy Street Chalupa from last year. These Chalupas feature a crispy shell filled with cheese, onions, and cilantro.
- Bojangles’ Strawberry Cobbler – This sweet treat features scratch-made buttermilk biscuits as a base. It is layered with warm strawberry topping and drizzled with sweet icing, making it the newest addition to their year-long cobbler lineup.

From The Club
I’m not a fan of pickles. I even remove them when my burger has some. While I may not be Popeyes’ target market for their limited-time Pickle Menu, I still find the Pickle Glaze Wings interesting because of the tangy pickle base. I may ignore the pickles, but it doesn’t mean I’ll miss out on some uniquely-flavored chicken wings!
