Quick Trivia About Raising Cane’s
Compared to a lot of major fast food restaurants in the United States, Raising Cane’s is considered a new kid on the block. The company was founded in 1996 by Todd Graves in Baton Rouge, Louisiana near the LSU campus. Todd’s business plan for Raising Cane’s was rejected by his college professor and by several banks who all thought it was a failure (but I guess the joke’s on them).
Todd refused to give up on his passion and dream. Despite being turned down and not raising money, he worked 90-hour weeks doing construction and fishing in Alaska to raise his own money for his first restaurant.

The name ‘Raising Cane’s was named after Todd’s yellow Labrador, “Cane” and called ‘Raising Cane’ but was later adjusted to ‘Cane’s’.
To date, the company has over 600 locations across the US and also expanded in countries such as Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
It’s All About the Sauce!
If there is one star of the Raising Cane’s show, it’s the dipping sauce. In fact, you can request a large cup filled with the sauce for the ultimate fried chicken submerge.
The Raising Cane’s sauce has a unique tangy, slightly spicy flavor.
