True to their “Be Bold. Stay Saucy” statement, things are about to get zesty, sweet, and smokey at KFC, or should I say, at Saucy? KFC’s new concept restaurant. 🤭
Your favorite chicken stop is ushering in a new era of finger-lickin’ good as they’re about to drop a Saucy concept restaurant. The bold and new concept opens this Friday, December 20, in Orlando, Florida.
Now, what’s this Saucy new campaign restaurant that they’ve been talking about? Saucy gives fans a flavor-forward dining destination that offers chicken tender lovers a chance to dip, dunk, and customize their meals in 11 irresistible ways, a la KFC style. These tenders are always made hot, fresh, and crispy, which would pair perfectly with global saucy flavors that are complemented by their 11-beverage lineup, which includes a variety of teas, freezes, and refreshers.

Christophe Poirier, KFC’s Chief New Concept Officer, said that everyone is obsessed with sauce because more is more. With Saucy, they’ve taken KFC’s famous Original Recipe and enhanced it with a new concept that lets customers play with the flavor. Poirier added that customers can pick a combo, choose flight sauces or his personal favorite, and mix together the sauces and sides to create a perfect meal. KFC found that there are at least 4,000 different ways to order for a different flavor experience.
Get Lost in The Sauce
The heart of Saucy’s menu is the 11 sauces, of course! Customers can order them individually or in a flight of four with their choice of tenders. They’re hand-breaded and fried in small batches as a part of Saucy’s made-to-order meals. Sauces and Tenders can be paired with toasted Hawaiian rolls, crinkle-cut fries, and coleslaw. Diners can also opt to get an EZ crispy sandwich, spicy queso crunch sandwich, or other combo favorites like three-piece tenders combo with a toasted roll, fries, medium drink, and choice of sauce for $7.99.
But hey, that’s not all. You can also get a sweet treat like chocolate mousse cake or key lime cake, which is the perfect way to end a meal.
Check out the following sauces as they launch in Orlando. Like KFC’s 11 secret herbs and spices, there are also 11 available sauces, which appear as a playful nod to KFC’s Original Recipe:

- Chimichurri Ranch
- Peri Peri Ranch
- Jalapeño Pesto Ranch
- Smokey Bacon Ranch
- Thai Sweet ‘N Spicy
- Sweet ‘N Saucy BBQ
- Saucy’s Suce
- Spicy Mango Chutney

- Creole Honey Mustard
- Sweet Teriyaki
In addition to the sauces, sippers also make an entrance to quench your thirst. Choose your pic and wait for the magic to happen in every sip.
- Passion Fruit + Orange + Guava Refresher
- Hot Honey Watermelon Refresher
- Peach-Mango Lemonade
- Peach-Mango Lemonade Freeze

What To Expect?
Although they’re backed by KFC, diners such as Saucy will come to realize that they are experiencing something new and different through their standalone concept. Saucy is designed to delight generations of diners with their modern look and feel with that “Saucy” feel plus a tech-forward experience.
Its drive-thru lanes also allow traditional traffic flow while inside, and customers are invited to dine for a personalized meal, plus kiosks with an environment meant for hanging out. With that, Saucy will also add programming such as live entertainment, making it the perfect community hangout spot.
The restaurant also boasts advanced technology to make kitchen operations easier and smoother for the staff. They have a digital twin, which serves as a virtual version of the restaurant. What’s cool about this is that it analyzes real data and runs tests to figure out the best way to create, let’s say, chicken tenders that are fresh and crispy while reducing the wait time.

Customers can access the Saucy app as they’re available on both the App Store and Google Play. It lets customers personalize their orders in 20 different ways to match what they want. This ensures every meal is flavorful and made just for them.
Orlando was chosen as the perfect location thanks to its diverse demographic, where more people could drop by. While Orlando is the lucky recipient to be the place of the first Saucy, expect to see more. Who knows? They might drop a location near you.
Poirier added that it’s unlike anything else in the market since the place provides a class of its own. Being sauce-focused allows the restaurant to be a bit more playful and creative in their place and concept. Saucy may be debuting with 11 sauces first, but they envision limited-time ones created from the flavors of the season. Tell them what you want to see next as they’re about to create it just for you with the restaurant’s advanced technology system.

From The Club
How did KFC come out of all of these? They’re a genius for pulling a stunt to branch out to a new concept place like Saucy. What amazed me the most about this whole process is the tech-savviness of the place to serve their customers better and get their preferences. As someone who’s always craving KFC’s chicken, expect me to pull out on this one and add sauce to my world since I don’t like gravy. 🤣
