Tastykake was founded in Philadelphia back in 1914 when baker Philip J. Baur and egg salesman Herbert T. Morris teamed up with a unique vision: to bake goods that customers could enjoy fresh everyday. The name “Tastykake” was chosen to elicit the idea of delicious and irresistible treatsᅳa name that definitely lives up to expectations.
Tastykake was one of the first companies to use the concept of daily delivery to ensure customers got their treats as if they were right out of the oven. Starting with cakes sold for just 10 cents each, Tastykake quickly became a staple in Pennsylvania households.

I am more of a cookie girl as you can probably see in my profile avatar, but I do love me some cakes and mini donuts. I am excited that these treats are back because I am DROOLING on those Confetti Krimpets. The Banana Pudding Pie and Key Lime mini donuts are also calling out to me. Best believe I’ll be stocking up on each flavor enough to last me beyond the summer months and I won’t even be sorry about it.
