Taco John’s is rolling out their $5 Meal Steal this summer which puts together all their greatest hits into one value-packed offering. All the fan-favorite items and Taco John’s classics are here. Let’s see what’s included:
- Crispy Taco – Taco John’s wouldn’t be where they are today without their signature Crispy Tacos. Made with a crunchy taco shell bursting with 100% North American beef, mild sauce, lettuce, and cheese.
- Bean Burrito – Another classic from Taco Johns, their burrito is a great vegetarian meal to go with their crispy taco. It’s a lean, mean, bean machine. It’s packed with refried beans, cheddar cheese, onions, and mild sauce.
- Jr. Potato Olés – Of course, no meal would be complete without a side dish and Taco John’s Jr. Potato Olés are some of the best around. These are crunchy potato bites seasoned with a bold spice blend.
- Small Beverage – To wash it all down, you even get a small beverage. It’s a refreshing fountain drink to complete the meal.
Barry Westrum, Chief Marketing Officer at Taco John’s, aimed to create a meal that will combine both value and quality without compromising taste. They wanted to offer summer savings to all their loyal customers with the $5 Meal Steal. From the looks of it, I can say that they’ve succeeded with their goal.
The $5 Meal Steal is available starting on July 1, 2024. The only catch is you can only order it via Mobile Ordering through the Taco John’s app. So if you aren’t a rewards member, consider this your sign to sign up. What’s New at Taco John’s?
Apart from the new $5 Meal Steal, there’s lots of new stuff cookin’ at Taco John’s. Creating new items and promos is key to staying afloat in the fast paced world of the fast food industry. That’s a mantra that most chains understand, including Taco John’s. In recent months, they had an addition to their ever so popular ValuEST Menu. This menu was all about offering bigger, bolder flavors at budget-friendly prices. Starting at $2 all the way up to $4, this menu had all your favorites from Taco John’s. It included items like the Cheesy Beef & Potato Taco, the Four-Cheese Quesadilla, and the Spicy Steak & Potato Griller.
The most recent addition to the ValuEST Menu are their Tostadas which comes in two options: the Refried Bean Tostada and the Beefy Tostada. Both of these items consist of either 100% North American beef or hearty refried beans, all-natural Cheddar cheese, fresh shredded lettuce, housemade Pico de Galgado (a traditional Mexican salsa), and queso fresco (another type of traditional Mexican cheese). They’re priced at $2 and $3, respectively.

But when you put them together, you create a masterpiece in fast food. Taco John’s Fried Chicken Taco is the best there is. It doesn’t have much ingredients but what’s on it definitely works. It contains all-white meat chicken tenders, lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, and your choice of either chipotle lime or spicy jalapeño ranch sauce. All of these are served on a warm, soft tortilla.
Super Potato Olés
Potato Olés are so iconic that it’s basically associated with Taco John’s. When you mention Taco John’s, you think of their Potato Olés. This signature item is probably the best you can get at the fast food chain. Instead of getting the basic order of Potato Olés, you can go for the Super Potato Olés. These come served in a big bowl with ground beef, refried beans, nacho cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream. Everything that went into this dish perfectly complements each other. Each flavor raises the other up.
