Are you one of the fans waiting for the release of Taco Bell’s Baja Blast line? Well, we’ve got some news for you, so read along! 🫵 We’re sure that you’ll love this one.
We all know that Baja Blast is Mountain Dew’s exclusive drink that is only available exclusively at Taco Bell. But in case you missed it, Taco Bell is releasing food-related items in their iconic Baja Blast flavor, as announced during their Live Más LIVE event back in February. They’ve got Baja Blast flavored twists, pie, and, of course, gelato.
If you’re excited about the Baja Blast Gelato, then the wait is finally coming to an end because they are set for an exclusive app release on September 3, 2024. However, there are reports that Taco Bell locations in some states are allowing customers to purchase these refreshing treats early. But better hurry since according to the reports, the count piece per store is only at 288. That’s quite a few pieces if you think about the fans who want to try their favorite refreshment, such as gelato!

Don’t fret just yet; check your Taco Bell apps or nearest Taco Bell locations to see if they’re serving the Baja Blast Gelato now. Also, the two other Baja Blast treats are set for release this year, but there’s no definite date yet, so you better stay tuned to be the first to taste these treats and have a blast!

Taking a Closer Look at The Baja Blast Treats
The popularity of Mountain Dew’s Baja Blast at Taco Bell is no other since it marks the first time that a beverage brand partners up with a restaurant to create a drink exclusively for them. The Baja Blast drink was first introduced at Taco Bell back in 2004. Initially, the plan was to boost drive-thru beverage sales, but Taco Bell got more than that when the drink grew in popularity among fans.
Along with the 20th Bajaversary celebration of the Baja Blast, Taco Bell is releasing Baja Blast-flavored snacks, which are set for release this year! Check out the following treats for you to try:

- Baja Blast Gelato – This gelato was a previous test item at Taco Bell’s Southern California locations. Fans who have tried the treat said that it has a hint of refreshing tropical lime that is very similar to the drink.
- Baja Blast Pie – Okay, this may sound weird to some, but you have to try it before putting out a verdict. It has a smooth texture and buttery curd. Like the beverage, it hints of a lime-flavored taste.
- Baja Blast Twists – These dessert twists resemble cinnamon twists. The difference? It has Baja Blast powder for a citrus taste. They were made available as an exclusive menu at Taco Bell’s The Cantinas, an early retirement community.
Taco Bell’s Bajaversary Celebration
Taco Bell commemorates the 20th anniversary of Mountain Dew’s Baja Blast this year! From July until August, they released a ton of promotions for fans to join. But the celebration doesn’t end there, as the Baja Blast treats are set for a release this year with the gelato, making an appearance at select Taco Bell locations, according to reports.
Last July 29, Taco Bell gave away a choice of medium-size Baja Blast fountain drink or a regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze for fans. On August 13, they dropped the limited edition Stanley x Bajaversary Tumbler on the Taco Bell app. The exciting part is that 20 of the first buyers get to win a free Baja Blast drink for a year!

As for Taco Bell’s happy hour specials, fans can avail of an in-restaurant medium-size Baja Blast fountain drink or regular-sized refills for only $1. The promo will run every day from 2-5 PM. Cool right? That’s how Taco Bell celebrates their famed drink that best pairs with their selection of Mexican food.

From The Club
I’m so excited to get a taste of Taco Bell’s exclusive Baja Blast Treats! I hope they will come around with its nationwide release, especially the Baja Blast Pie, which doesn’t have a definite date yet. As for the gelato, how would Taco Bell turn the fountain drink into an ice cream? Oh well, I might have to wait until I get my hands on this gelato treat.
